I was excited to try their empanadas. I ordered and the lady told me that she didn’t have empanadas ready but she could make them in 10 minutes so I waited. I saw 2 empanadas on the display and said what about those, she said no they are not hot. So i sat and waited for her to make “fresh” ones. Moments pass and I saw her grabbing the 2 empanadas on the display, then go to the back, and then heard a microwave. Since there was another person that ordered food, I thought maybe thats their order. She then comes out and hands over the bag. I knew the microwave was for my empanadas. But whatever I took them, as I took a bite a gush of oil came out and wouldn’t stop, I have never seen an empanada have so much oil in it, it was not eatable at all. I opened the other empanada and it was the same full of oil. I had to put tons of napkins underneath and still wasn’t enough to soak that amount of oil. The bag where the empanadas were in was dripping oil as well. Absolutely disgusting! Never ever recommending this place. I think they are going out of business, not sanitary or good quality. I didn’t appreciate the lying part from the employee either, bad representation of Venezuelans. Also way too expensive. Sad.

This used to be a hidden gem. Now they evidently are struggling. I have eaten many empanadas here but today at 12:30 was served a burnt stale soggy nasty and way too expensive empanada. The counter girl seemed annoyed that I was there. If I hadn’t already driven home I would have brought it back

We came here hoping for decent Venezuelan food and were very disappointed. This place is close to our home and it’s hard to find good Venezuelan food near us but unfortunately we will not be coming back. The hot food counter was mostly empty, the menus have all kinds of scratched off prices and items, the service was terribly slow, it took like 10 mins just to place an order. After ordering our meals and coffee a few people walked in after us and we’re served coffee as we still waited for ours. My arepa was dripping in oil that tasted like it hadn’t been changed in a while, the tequeños were soggy and my empanada was dry and looked like it had random stuff cooked into the dough (see picture), I had to ask for them to give me a new one and she threw the one I had back into hot food counter, yuck, I had just picked it up and now it would be served to someone else. Sorry but this place needs help.

This is an authentic Venezuelan place, this is the placer where you go for empanadas a Sunday before beach time. You’ll not be disappointed if you visit grano de mostaza, a jewel in the prospect st
