We ate here Labor Day Weekend. I ate breakfast food ( served until 2pm ) my wife got the Gumbo. Both dishes were very good. For dessert we got homemade cobbler blackberry and pecan with a scoop of ice cream it was very good. Also their biscuits are homemade. I would gladly go again.

What a great place. The food is fantastic, and the portions are surprisingly large for the price, making it a great value. We tried the tomatoe, basil, garlic soup, the chicken fried steak, Mac and cheese, okra, fries, biscuts, fried pies, etc. All were fantastic. If you are in the historic Hot Springs, go give this place a whirl. Do note that the service is very good, but since everything is fresh made it takes a few. Sit and relax while enjoying the company.

Rebecca was the truest form of southern hospitality, a genuine sweetheart and made sure we were very well taken care of!
The pancakes were perfect, and this comment is coming from someone who is a tough pancake critic!
The Granny’s breakfast special croissant sandwich was a hearty and savory dish!
Best coffee and friendly atmosphere!
An absolute MUST STOP when in Hot Springs!
We will be back tomorrow!!

Best diner I’ve ever been to. These Grannies really know how to cook. Eggs were perfect, hash browns perfect balance of crispy and soft, fluffy biscuit, the fried okra had a perfect crunch and wasn’t soggy with grease, the mac-n-cheese was so rich and cheesey. Sweet and wholesome atmosphere.

What a surprise! Almost went to Sam’s for a hot dog lunch and glad we didn’t. We love privately owned little places and Granny’s Kitchen turned out to be one of the best ever. This southern boy appreciates good country cooking. Definitely get the fried green tomatoes. Huge serving and as good as any I’ve ever had. Real tomatoes, hand breaded. Not the “open frozen bag and drop” kind.
Our sides, greens, fried okra and black eyed peas were tasty too. Our liver and onions and hamburger steak and gravy were excellent and a good portion.
Sweet tea! Brewed!
Denise was our server and she was great.
I hear the burgers and PoBoys are good to.
Prices are fair for the strip.
They do daily specials and breakfast specials too.
I was just too full for desert.

We had the vegetarian dinner, the catfish po’boy with gumbo and the gumbo dinner and they were very tasty indeed. The catfish batter was flavored tastefully, the gumbo was spicy but not too spicy. The wait staff was attentive and sweet as was everyone else we met. The entire staff was quite hospitable and the deco was kitschy and apropos of the down home theme. Great food, good people and an interesting city!

Very good food and a super sweet waitress. We were hoping for lunch and breakfast menu both being available in the morning but since it was not, she was able to customize the order to please my picky 8 year old. The food tasted great and we will be back again hopefully! I think the waitresses name was Rita, she was wonderful.

Great place for breakfast or lunch. I got the lunch specials which was catfish and it came with fries, beans, hush puppies and slaw. It was an amazing amount of food for $12. Service was so attentive and was even brought more slaw because she said I wasn’t given enough. Definitely visit this place!

When we walked into the restaurant we were greeted quite quickly and seated. Our drink order was taken right away with our appetizer order and it came within 10 minutes. The pulled pork loaded nachos are a meal in itself. Easy for two to share. Then we waited 30 minutes for our food to arrive. The kitchen was overwhelmed with two very large groups and they weren’t able to keep up. When we got our food it was well worth the wait. This was truly home cooking at its finest. The owner, Shirley, came out to greet us and gave us a history of the restaurant and the building. I was quite pleased with her gracious demeanor and hospitality. If you’re willing to wait for your food, enjoy the atmosphere and good company. Be prepared to take leftovers home. The portions are Hardy and you will be pleasantly surprised other quality. The gumbo is quite good but the roux is very mild. The twice baked potato is really nice and the cornbread is amazing.
