Going in you feel like you’re in the wrong place. Once inside, there’s a store attached to the restaurant. The food is great. Big portions, awesome service. Everything is clean. We’re a family of seven and it was very comfortable. Kids are very welcomed in this place. You can tell it’s a local favorite.

First time here so far so good. Country fried steak was good. Service can use some adjustment but since it’s new it’ll definitely not be a problem. Will go back.

I love Granny’s Diner, food is just like my grandma use to cook for me and my friends! I always look forward to starting my day there. Lee the owner makes you feel like family and always comes to your table to make sure everything is good and the way you want it. The staff is great and friendly

Stopped in for breakfast after seeing a post on FB! They were pretty busy! Kind of small but cozy inside. Staff was friendly! Food all looked great as it went by to other tables for sure! We tried the Margarita Omelette with hash browns and the country fried steak. The omelette was delicious and a good size for sure, ingredients all tasted fresh! Hash browns were ok, a bit on the greasy side, but ok. The Country Fried Steak was good, nice size portion, the country gravy was excellent! I would come here again just for the gravy! Eggs were cooked perfectly. The hash browns, again were a bit on the greasy side, I had added onions to mine which they were definitely generous with! Food came out pretty quick and HOT! You definitely get a good amount of food for the price! The only negative of the location itself is that the bathrooms are located outside of the restaurant and up a couple of stairs. They are inside the building, but the building is really 2 restaurants (1 of which is closed) with the bathrooms in between. The woman’s bathroom was extremely small and definitely far from clean! This probably will not prevent me from trying them again, I’m curious to try a few other things on their menu.

Excellent little diner. Great staff, friendly, attentive, fast service. Food is awesome. You can’t go wrong with the kitchen sink for breakfast. Burgers are also a quality selection for lunch. I’ll definitely swing through anytime I’m in Antioch. If you’re nearby, or passing through, it’s well worth the stop to get some good eats. They have daily specials and the prices are good. Show them some love if you have the opportunity.

Was visiting from Texas and ate here with my wife’s aunt and uncle. My wife had the eggs benedict which was delicious. I stole a bite lol and I had the banana bread french toast. That also was delicious and my wife stole her a bite as well. The service was very good and attentive.

We have been going to Granny’s in Richmond since they opened and we go there once a week.. Its always been good, service and food. Something has happened in the last month. Orders dont come out right. The bill isn’t right ( watch out for this !☹️ Today bananna French toast came without bananas or whipped cream.( Waitress made a point of asking if we wanted whipped cream) I ordered a lunch special bacon cheeseburger w/ fries and included soup. We were charged for cheeseburger, bacon, and soup☹️. We were told a waitress was working her first day. She didn’t wait on us!! The last two times i requested burger rare. It has been well done. We never had this problem before . Unfortunately our tip represented how we felt about our meal. The boss is usually there checking on how satisfied his customers are. He was nowhere to be seen. When the cat’s away the mice will play. Sorry, we’ll not be back to Granny’s anytime soon.

I had the southwest omelette and the eggs were so over cooked to the point they were crispy. They used the outside layer when chopping the onion so I had hard, tough bits of onion in my omelette as well. My son had scrambled eggs and they were also over cooked (see brown eggs in the picture). We asked for strawberries on the side instead of potatoes and they were horrible. Obviously frozen strawberries, thawed out and served but they were old or something because they were discolored. The house toast is “like a sourdough” according to the waitress but it tased nothing like sourdough. The texture was decent but the only flavor was from the butter. The pancakes were firm and tough with poor flavor. Very large portions but horrible food. I have no idea why this place was so crowded when we were there.

I don’t like to complain, but . . . . My husband and I stopped at Granny’s last Sunday. Now, we’ve eaten at Granny’s at the Grass Lake Road location, their Johnsburg location and at the Richmond location, which is where we were on Sunday. Yes, it was busy, as Sundays usually are, but not to the point where all the tables were full and the chairs for those waiting for a table as it has been some of the Sundays we’ve been there. We placed our orders, two plates were brought to us. At first, I thought the extra crispy bacon ended up in my omelet instead of on the side as ordered. O.K. It’s busy, mistakes are made. S&P added on top of the omelet. First bite off the end o.k. A couple bites into the omelet, not what I ordered at all :(. Waitress stopped by, I told her I did not get what I ordered. She said twice that she’d fix it and that there was so much food at the time she picked up our plates. I waited a bit. Nothing happened, so I ate my hash browns, which were now cold, and my English muffin. Never saw the waitress again until she quickly put the bill on the table. Bill included both of our meals as originally ordered. We still left a tip expecting that the bill would be fixed at the register. The waitress we had happened to be who ended up coming to the register. I told her I never received the extra crispy bacon and as she knew, did not receive the omelet I had ordered. She said she had offered to have it remade and that I said No. I told her that she did not make that offer and had just said she’d fix it. Then she said she did not have a manager key to fix the bill. All she could do was take off the bacon. And, that was all she took off. Now, why could she take the bacon off, but not the omelet? Really? When we got in the car, I sent a message to Granny’s explaining the situation. To date, there’s been no reply. Had there been a satisfactory reply, I would not have written this review. So, at this point, we won’t be going back again.

Have driven by many times so decided to stop and check it out. My breakfast was “ok”. I asked for my hash browns to be crispy and sausage well done, but neither were received how I asked.. my boyfriend’s breakfast was just bad… toast well done, he also asked for crispy hash brown, but like mine.. soggy from grease, bacon extra crispy so he requested more. The second order of bacon could have been used for bits it was so overcooked. Then he took a bite of his eggs and there were shells in them! I think our server was pretty new… she apologized with each mishap, but don’t think she knew what to do. We felt bad, and kept reaffirming we understood it wasn’t her fault…. Spoke with another server (seemed like she worked there awhile) about the terrible meal, but the only response we received was “The owner isn’t here” and charged about $30 for two breakfast plates with coffee. After paying, we proceeded to go elsewhere to get food he could eat. I understand this may have been an off day at this establishment, but the lack of caring left a very bad taste.
