Grannies is cool! Right on MLK across from the Bessie Smith Center. Pretty large bar divided into three areas with a couple pool tables on the far side. Service was friendly with an old-school bar near the front entrance. There’s also an outdoor covered patio in the front on the street. Has a little bit of an eclectic/sports bar feel, but not a ton of TVs. Kind of a dark atmosphere as well, which is not a bad thing. Supposedly gets pretty crowded on the weekend evenings with the college crowd. We weren’t during a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty quiet. Will definitely return!

Stopped by to have a couple drinks. They have a small selection of local beers and quite a few cocktails. The cocktails were very good!
I really enjoyed the atmosphere here. The bartender was very nice. I remember when this place was Barley’s and it was nice to see the location turned into something just as cool! We’ll have to try the food next time!

One of the cutest names for a bar! The lighting and decor is beautifully done. Nice and polite people that work here! Love the sign outside. Pool tables and darts are a plus. My friend loved his vodka cranberry drink. Lit like Shady’s, but more low key. Would definitely recommend for a night out w friends.

Thomas was the most detail-oriented and pleasant bartender I’ve ever met, even while the bar was completely packed. Seriously, he made eye contact and smiled and made me feel like the only patron when I spoke with him directly, and I watched him serve several other patrons so efficiently. Honestly, it was a pleasure just to watch him work! The drinks were perfect, and he knows what he’s doing on every level. I’ve always loved Granny’s, but Thomas made me want to finally leave a 5-star review.

This place was built to be a fun Bar. Multiple, fun activities, quieter locations with tables, and plenty of standing room inside and out. The entrance doubles as an exit so at high volume it can become very congested. Affordable drinks, although I don’t drink. My friends loved it and I think it was the favorite of the night. Also very attentive and careful staff both at the bar and checking IDs, but you probably have to be to work somehwere this crowded and loud.

We have been here twice. Really enjoy the vibe. Very clean and great service. There are two pool tables, two dart boards, and a Golden Tea game. Multiple TV’s for sports. We haven’t eaten here yet so can’t say about the food. Friendly staff and great service.

We don’t do bars, we don’t drink, but our crew wanted to go, so we tagged along. Way too loud for me. Had to scream to talk to anyone. Non alcoholic drink choices were basically non-existent.

Avery is absolutely phenomenal. I have celiac disease and can’t have most of the menu. The nachos are SAFE. She went out of her way to ensure I could be taken care of. We need more people like Avery in bars. Especially for us with restrictions !!!!!! 11/10 coming back and recommending to my clients 🙂

I’m in town for a wedding. Me and my fiancée wanted a spot to watch the game and have a few drinks. Everything was awesome. One of the best burgers I’ve ever had EVER. Bartender was pretty cool and gave us a few suggestions to explore the city. If I’m ever back in Chattanooga I’ll definitely be back.

Cool bar, good food available late. Tay always takes excellent care of me and is a bomb bartender. Good drinks too (the Marg is fantastic)
Jordan provided the most meaningful hospitality one night when I had just broken my ankle and was on crutches and she really went above and beyond and could tell I was struggling. It meant a lot to me in a moment I was really down and was inspiring as a hospitality professional myself.
