Great place for breakfast! Bright, clean, the service staff was friendly and prompt. They even made a fresh pot of decaf coffee for me.
I really liked the build your own omelet option.
I should note that the chairs are the sturdy, plastic folding ones. It didn’t bother me, but forewarned is forearmed.

Nice portions, was able to get a 2 egg omelette. The decor isn’t anything to write home about but the food and service sure is! At the end of the day, that’s what matters. Unassuming store front, can almost drive by it but nice big parking lot to pull into if you do. Reasonable prices, great food, can’t ask for more!

For all of you traveling Route 66 and hungry, PLEASE take the opportunity to eat at Grandpa’s Kitchen. You won’t regret it. We were there on 10/29/25 and the food was phenomenal and homemade and the service was legendary like it should be more often.

Me and my boyfriend got two full platters of biscuits and gravy food was great. However our server the guy right off the bat said he didn’t know his job nor the computers and was very lost also had a few rude jokes and never refilled our drinks at one point he came to check on us and was chewing food and had crumbs all over his face said he had stolen a chicken strip so… They might wanna rethink the new guy. The girl ended up helping us the most she even got us boxes to go and answered some questions we had. These plate are 7.99 each well worth the money and great portions can’t go wrong with this if you love biscuits and gravy.

I HIGHLY recommend this restaraunt! Awesome prices, friendly service, mom and pop style, AMAZING taste, and HUGE portions!
They are open for breakfast and lunch (I believe until 1:30pm).
The sign says they have been in business for 30 years to boot.
Cute little signs and saying everywhere, family pictures, music, ALL make it my absolute new favorite place!!!
If you live in the area or even just travelling thru… this is a MUST STOP place for a sit down and eat!
