A group of 8 of us has dinner at Grandpa Sam’s on Wednesday night. Cute little Italian restaurant. The garlic bread and Italian bread with olive oil dip before the meal is worth going by itself! Everyone loved their entrees. I ordered Chicken French on escarole (they have pasta options too). That can be an iffy meal depending on how a restaurant makes the French sauce. This was delicious!! Light, not too thick. Really tender and moist. I would definitely order that again. Most meals are in the $20-30+ range. They have flights of wine or beer for $14. Wednesday is half off, so a flight for only $7! This includes red wines, whites, craft beer including Rohrbach’s and Sam Adams, etc. A fantastic deal on flights.
The waitress was excellent.
The bathrooms are a bit lower scale, but clean.
As for ambiance… I don’t like it too busy generally, but it actually wasn’t quite busy enough for me to love the atmosphere. It was almost a little too quiet, but it was a Wednesday night so probably to be expected.

Food and service was out of this world,i can’t believe this place wasn’t packed got right in on a sat evening.
Super fresh, The food was so good we all had to try eachothers dishes! Chicken parm, chicken French, parmesan haddock! Sydney was our server, absolutely amazing spot with generous portions. Highly recommend trying this place out!

Always a great experience here! I’ve never had a bad meal here because the food is always cooked perfectly and there are so many good options on the menu. The waiters are so kind and always make sure you have what you need/want. The service is also relatively quick even on weekends.

Had never been here before and don’t live anywhere near Spencerport, but found it while searching for a good ol’ fashion Rochester Italian restaurant. Food was okay, nothing that special, but the lobster Mac and cheese special they had was incredible, would go back for that alone. My family ordered the chicken parm and chicken French for dinner and both dishes had really tough chicken. Dessert was good, but the thing that was weird to me for this place is they have a full bar and “cocktail” menu, but don’t serve liquor. The only serve beer and wine and all of their “cocktails” are made with sake. If I was in the area I would eat here again but wouldn’t go out of my way.

Our first visit was for dinner on a Friday night. We had reservations and were seated immediately. Our server, Jill, was very friendly and informative. She explained the daily specials and got us started with drinks. Our soups were housemade, fresh and hot. My wife had Italian wedding soup and I had the seafood bisque, which was excellent, rich and chunky. Salad was served family style with a very nice house Italian dressing. Our entries were excellent. My wife had butternut ravioli and I had seafood fra diavalo, with shrimp, clams, scallops, mussels and calamari. Jill was attentive to our needs even as the entire dining room filled up and they had a private party going on as well. Highly recommended to us and we highly recommend to you. We will be back!

My husband and I ordered two Chicken Parmesan meals for take-out. They came with a salad, bread, and the entree. We were excited to eat but as soon as we took the first bite the chicken breast was tough, pink in color, and very dry. It was hard to chew and caused a very disappointing meal for us. I will give this place one more try since it is a small town restaurant but I hope they can improve on what chicken breast they use. I am hoping it was just a one time thing with this issue.
