This was our first time and it was delicious.
Very quick service.
I had Glass Noodle soup and my wife had Drunken Noodle, both were delicious.
The broth in the soup was awesome with lots of flavors, I assume it is a long simmered bone broth.
Serving size makes this extremely valuable meal for the price.
I interviewed several customers and all said the food was excellent and that this was their favorite Thai restaurant.
They have a lunch buffet that I am eager to try.
I intend to return with friends and have each person order different dishes that we all share family style taking some of whatever intrigues us.
I definitely recommend trying this restaurant, I doubt you will be disappointed.
I ordered Phat khing with chicken which came with Steamed rice.
I received a good amount of food and felt full by the end. The vegetables were well cooked and the chicken was fairly tender. The whole dish was flavored very well. I was most impressed with the service. The food didn’t take too long to come out and the guy working thier was nice. He was cleaning, taking orders, and working the register. Over all I would recommend this place.
I entered Grandma’s with a friend hoping to have a taste similar if not as good as what I’ve had in the past only to have my pallet assaulted!
I explained to the staffer who serviced my table that I would like to have a spicy prawn soup, steamed dumplings and chicken satay with a peanut sauce on the side.
What came first was a over deep fried skewer of chicken with a peanut butter flavored thick textured sauce that tasted so nasty!!
I took only one bite because I don’t generally like to self punish. Next came the rest of the order. The soup as you can see in the provided images looked nice. We where dooped! This soup I tell you was sickening and sour. Tomatoes as many people are aware can be acidic, the tomatoes in this soup where not cooked. The tomatoes where simply blanched from the heat and gave a very strong flavor that was unpleasant. Their was no potato in the soup, only a pinch of vegetables and large shrimp but, the shrimp where over cooked, thus a bit hard.
The dumplings where strange so, we didn’t finish those as well. We ordered one additional item, Crab Rangoon and this was the only palletable item.
Crab Rangoon $6.95
Satay Chicken $7.95
Thom Yum w/ Shrimp $11.95 x2
Plus tax we paid $42.- total because the staff at this place didn’t have the decency to remove the chicken satay from the bill when we sent it back because it was over cooked.
At the end of this horrid culinary disaster, the wait staffer had the audacity to ask if we wanted to go packaging for all the horrible food that he saw that we where not eating!!
This was truly the worst Thai food that I’ve to date encountered. Just to be clear incase I haven’t been already, when we left there we had a strong sour taste gripping our throats so, we headed to Freddie’s to get vanilla custard with chocolate sauce to help cleanse our pallets however, even after having finished the custard;.the sour taste remained… It took a long while for that disgusting sour taste to dissipate.
I finally got up the courage to try the Thai Spicy for the Mixed Vegetables with Shrimp ! It was spicy! Either they toned the spiciness down for me, or my tolerance for spicy food is growing.
