Food was delicious and super cheap. Got the roast beef melt, super good. Boyfriend got the mushroom swiss, and the burger was a real burger. He loved it as well. Cheryl the cook is the sweetest thing ever! She was helping the server and helped at our table. Love her! Totally recommended this place. If I loved closer I would eat here everyday.

We stopped in for a quick bite and we were pleasantly surprised in the quality of the food, the great service, and the welcoming environment. Food is delicious and we were impressed with the prices. Sweet tea tasted like I was back home in the south. We’ll be back!

I came today and had basically no wait! I was greeting by a waitress almost immediately and my food got back to me only around 15 minutes of waiting. I got the breakfast sandwich they had and absolutely loved it! The sweet tea was one of the best things though, it reminded me just of home. Even when we were done, the waitress stayed around and told us about the town since we were just visiting. She told us she was brand new to the job and she was still great.

Stopped in for breakfast during my stay in Moundsville. Little bit of wait but very well worth it. Great homecooked food for less than what I would spend at McDonald’s. Staff were sweet, other patrons were friendly. Atmosphere was simple and welcoming. Will be making sure to stop in anytime im in town.

I love this place, I’ve been coming there for years, but today is the second time I’ve went there and was overcharged, over 5$ for my food, Both times I realized so when i got home, I calculated the price of my order by the menu, × 0.06 sales tax, the first time I thought maybe this was an accident, However it’s happend twice in a row with the same waitress. This never happens when Ashley is our waitress. So for the time being, I won’t be eating there unless you guys are able to start give receipts back.. Ashame.

I was there on a Tuesday at lunch. The food didn’t arrive at the table until an hour had past. I’m sure the waitress knew how long the wait was going to be and she could have told me. Maybe I would have stayed, or maybe I would have gone somewhere else. But I should have had that information so I could decide. Instead… the waitress brought drinks and wasn’t seen again for an hour. If the restaurant didn’t have the staff to handle the load they should have limited the number of people allowed in. Or they could have told me it would be an hour before I got my lunch. They didn’t do either. I’ll not go back… there’s lots of places where the owners want my business.

Unwelcoming. Sat for a good long while with my buddy and my kids. Didn’t get any service. In fact we both felt like we didn’t belong. We got skeptical looks from most of the staff. 2 of the staff might have been on break at that exact time, but no one had even acknowledged our presence. Idk if they have something against the LGBTQ+ community, or maybe against parents, or perhaps against vets. Will be highly recommending people visiting the area to not go here.

This place is a true diamond in the rough! We stopped in Moundsville for a quick stay overnight and after a quick search for breakfast we stumbled onto Grandma Jo’s Polkadot Cafe. We could not praise this place enough. The prices are great and the food itself is extraordinary! I ordered “The Shock” and haven’t been that satisfied with a breakfast in ages. On top of everything else, the service was stupendous.

Not a bad place for a small mom and pop shop, and I think breakfast might be a better meal to enjoy here, but overall the place is just ok. I ordered the Reuben and Fries with a Pepsi (can) and the total came to $5.30, which is absolutely amazing – talk about a sweet deal. Now, the service was 3 folks; a guy on the grill (who seemed a little overwhelmed), a lady doing the hostess and waitress work and some bussing, and some guy that just walked around – kinda odd. The waitress was very nice and did a good job. I did see them cook some things in the microwave, which I am sure lots of restaurants do – but it might be better to put it in the back as I watched them pretty much cook someone’s whole meal using the microwave. Again, my food was pretty good and the price was spot on, but not sure I would recommend.
