Always great service and even better food. The atmosphere is somewhat upscale but comfortable. So many great things on the menu. The blackened swordfish is the best I’ve ever had. Drinks are always on point, and make sure to save room for dessert! The carrot cake is phenomenal.

Went here off a recommendation from one of the winery workers in the area. Did not disappoint! Our server was friendly and good at her job. We shared the seafood platter and their evening special -Dover sole with summer corn risotto. It was all delicious! The restaurant was almost full after only an hour of being open so that’s saying something.

The outside may look humble, but this restaurant has plenty of heart. Amazing food. Amazing service. The pate is such a nice touch. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. We had the ribs and steak and will come back if we’re in the area again. I highly recommend getting reservations.

Our waitress was amazing and very attentive. I was very highly impressed by the service. The homemade bread and dips they serve were also delicious. It kind of ends there. The food was incredibly bland – we got the filet mignon and perch/ribs combo. We ate about half and took the rest home because it just wasn’t good. Honesty, I have never had a steak so bland and flavorless in my life and I add the butter/pepper to it.

We went here on New Years Eve, Called them at 3:30 and was surprised to get a reservation at 7:30. Got there and the place was very busy. Lot’s of people waiting. Got right in to our table and had the Filet and Alaskan King Crab. OMG!!! Everything was amazing. Strange thing is I grew up in Stevensville and had never gone there. Now I live an hour away IDK. Service was great and even though we couldn’t eat all of our dinner we still shared the carrot cake.

Grand Mere has been a family favorite for so long. I finally got to experience it for the first time and was not disappointed at all. I had the escargot appetizer, mushroom soup, and the walleye special and my husband had the duck with peppercorn sauce. Everything was delicious and the entire staff were very friendly, attentive, and fun. I can’t wait to go back when I’m in the area again.

Recommended by local friends while we were visiting, this restaurant did not disappoint! The brie and puff pastry appetizer was delightful, a whole triangle of delicious brie in a cherry glaze. My husband got the jumbo shrimp and I got the crab stuffed shrimp, both delicious. Enjoyed the cranberry bog martini, a cranberry version of a French martini. Finished it off with the bread pudding. Everything was great. The staff was delightful, helpful and extremely pleasant! We will be back the next time we visit. It started snowing the day we were there, but on a beautiful day the lake view from our window seat would be gorgeous!

The food was very good. The best part by far was the Brie in puff pastry with cherry sauce appetizer. Service was a little slow and the seating is packed a bit too close, but the view of Lake Michigan makes up for it.
