The meat quality of beef and lamb are really good at this bbq cart! The pieces have actual meat and are plentiful. Ordered the rice cakes and they came out with a nice char, the fried bun was also brushed with a nice salty seasoning which accompanied the lamb skewers well. Overall this cart is solid and id come back again because the meat quality is truly superb for the price.

Cash only.

This couple makes the absolute best food in town. Perfectly cooked and seasoned, large variety of options, from meats and seafood to mushrooms and vegetables.

Be ready to order, choose your spice level, and pay cash.

The couple is very friendly unless someone gives them a reason not to be.

Food is delicious and filling and will keep you ordering more and coming back with friends.

Beef and lamb skewers were great. Very flavorsome. Spicy seasoning is not too spicy so good for those that want milder seasoning. So busy however that they got the order wrong and accidentally charged us too much and gave us more than we asked for.
Will come again when I return to New York

This was by far one of my favorite places to grab a quick bite in all of New York. The vibes, the flavor, the speed were all perfect. The average skewer costs $2.50 and I think they are well worth it. After placing your order with the grill master he whips out the requested skewers and over blasting heat he grills up your items to perfection. The best item by far was the lamb skewer as they had the perfect gameyness while also being crispy and tender. We went back for multiple rounds and genuinely probably had 30 skewers by the end of the trip.

TLDR: A little Chinese skewer cart in Chinatown serving up classic skewers at reasonable prices. Lots of options

They ONLY take cash

-[LAMB STICK] $2.50
Can be made spicy or regular
Opted for regular but the lamb itself was seasoned well and grilled perfectly thus keeping the meat juicy

-[SCALLOP WITH BACON] $2.50
Similarly to the above, can be made spicy or regular but we opted for regular
Scallop is the perfect level of cooked that allows it to be firm with a slight snap
The bacon allowed for this to have the perfect flavor profile especially added to whatever they season their skewers with

-[CRISPY STEAM BUN] $2.00
It looked a little like toasted marshmallows but was sweet and ever so slightly savory
Made for a perfect “dessert” skewer

Grand Street Skewer Cart is one of those hidden gems you’re glad you discovered.
Simple setup, small cart — but big flavors!
The skewers are grilled fresh right in front of you, and the smoky aroma alone can pull you from a block away.
Juicy chicken, tender lamb, perfectly seasoned veggies — everything has that charred, street-food magic.
Service is quick and friendly, and the prices feel like a rare NYC bonus.
Perfect for a quick bite while walking, late-night hunger, or just because the smell convinced you.
A true street-side winner.

Saw the reviews and menu so I gave it a try. Had the pork, beef, and steamed buns. Had them spicy and everything was great. Live was great too. Definitely recommend. Only reason why I reviewed them was so I can remember where to find them next time I’m in the area.

One of my first and favorite quick bite locations in New York and they are open late! Order it spicy, it’s absolutely delicious. Most options are good, but my preference is pork. Try the lamb and corn too! Perfect atmosphere if you like last night vibes outside. Been many times and plan to go back. I’m not there right now so enjoy this picture of the sidewalk.
