The plan originally wasn’t even to eat there because I have food allergies (I have a gluten allergy) but we took a chance and the nicest lady Kimberly (AKA Kim) walked us through the process of ordering our food because it was our first time and it was a kiosk, when I asked her about how we make it gluten free cause I wanted a burger she went back to the kitchen and told them herself. I told her I liked pickles and she even put some in my box for me as a surprise. My mom got the Maurice salad shown below and the fries. The salad itself is gluten free, the fries were not. I had the single smash burger with bacon. The bacon was crispy but not too crispy, the burger was medium rare and a nice consistency throughout, and the atmosphere was pretty nice.
Kim made me feel safe eating here and I will definitely eat here again if I come back. They go above and beyond if you are polite to them.

I usually frequent this establishment when visiting Motorcity. Lately my food has been subpar. Today, I ordered a hot corn beef sandwich and the bottom bun was shriveled up and soggy. They need to stop using those plastic containers for the hot sandwiches because it sweats the sandwich. The corn beef was stringy and wasn’t tender. It wasn’t seasoned well either. I was really disappointed. I had to just throw the sandwich away since I had already left the establishment. I also had a bad experience a month ago with a burger. I really hope all of the chefs get back to taking pride in the flavor and presentation of their food.

Oh my gosh… the corn beef and Swiss were delicious and pretty decent size for $12. The fries were good. And the cheesecake was fabulous!! It was so moist. This is our third time eating there and each time had great cornbeef. We will be back. I would like to purchase a whole cheesecake if possible.

When I went to have dinner here, there were lots of people ordering food. The place had a couple dozen people waiting on their orders. Because of that (and likely the fact that I ordered a hot sandwich), I had to wait quite a while before I got my order; at least 20 minutes.

For my meal, I got a 7-11 combo; a sandwich that was half corned beef and half pastrami. The sandwich was absolutely gigantic; I never expected to receive so much meat. I felt like I had inadvertently accepted an eating challenge with how much food my meal had.

I was thankful that both kinds of meat were tender and flavorful (albeit salty but that’s to be expected). The only critique for this was that I wish my sandwich came with more coleslaw.

As for the fries, they were really good. I enjoyed how crispy and golden brown they were without being dry. None were overcooked or limp and they had a fine amount of salt without being overpowering. It helped that I got quite a few fries with my meal.

Ultimately, I found this place to be pretty good even if the wait time was long. I definitely got my money’s worth for this meal. Hopefully I won’t fall into a food coma after this.

I have always enjoyed the food at Grand River Deli. Especially after attending a concert. However for the first time, I was disappointed with my order. Idk if we were given the wrong order or what. My fries were missing along with the coleslaw that was supposed to be on our Reubens. Even the ginger ale was messed up. It tasted similar to Vernon’s although the sign said Seagram’s. Since I don’t like Vernon’s, I just threw it away. I rarely check my order before I walk away b/c your staff is always on point with matching the orders with the receipt. Unfortunately I live 60 miles away, so it wasn’t until I got home that I discovered all the mistakes. Obviously there was no way for me to take a pic of the missing fries but the only fries in there were my bf’s.

All orders are made on a kiosk. Nobody there to assist if you have any problems. Employees were walking around weeping and talking all by your table while you are eating. Food took long time to finish (45min wait). Chicken wings were okay, too hott. (Like serious)
And the prices definitely has increase(understandable), customers service has decreased!

The food was so good, I didn’t even get a chance to take a picture! I know it’s simple wings, burgers, and fries… But those cooks are not playing

My dip sandwich was fine. The dip was packed upside down and drained out over the bag. My salad, packed in a separate bag, had soggy lettuce- inedible. I took the toppings off, and the whole salad was disappointing.

Order a smash burger with cheese and bacon and got a burger with almost an half of onion soggy lettuce and pickles that has all been microwave and 1 small piece of bacon. What is a got was a burger made with a I don’t give a g attitude. Smh. It’s time to revamp
