BEST $15 bucks I’ve spent in a long time!

This was a GREAT way to try something new.
I was in line for a different chain restaurant and I saw the nice lady at the register. Noticed no one was in line and I saw that the larger chains had multiple people and families lined up. I realized that in order for me to truly stand behind trying new things in this area, I decided to give it a shot.

Everything was fresh, well seasoned, service was spot on! I mean I loved it! I was a nice little different taste from the norm and it was VERY WELL WELCOMED!

Hot, well portioned and a nice new food experience for myself that solidified me returning each time I’m there!

Like don’t hesitate! Go ahead and try it because honestly ya probably been eating the same thing over and over and over so go ahead and support local businesses and be surprised at what some of them are accomplishing!

I came here for a salad, it sounded good from their menu I read on Google maps. All the other restaurants at the food court seemed busy but there was no customers at this restaurant, as I approached the counter to order there was an an employee right at the front who seem to be doing something on her phone, I noticed browning lettuce. I proceeded to order and she said she had to check and see if she had enough supplies to make my order and she came from the back with a large bag of darker colored mixed greens and said yes she could make it. After I ordered a few other customers made an order, they all got theirs before mine, no big deal I guess what I ordered was a little more complicated. I ate my order right away in the parking lot, in order to eat it I had to pick out at least half of the lettuce as it was slimy, wilted and nasty. How could those employees serve me lettuce like that? I know they don’t eat lettuce like that. It took me so much longer to be able to finish my food due to having to separate so much bad greens from the little good that was there. That was also a very messy process I had to use a lot of napkins and paper towels. I do not recommend eating anything with their lettuce in it unless you check and verify they have better quality lettuce because the two employees who were there at the time did not seem to care.

This new spot is fabulous. Grand Mediterranean serves Turkish Doner as a pita, wrap or with rice. Doner is rotisserie cooked beef and lamb or chicken or mixed. I had the pita which is like a gyro. It has lettuce tomato, pickles and a delicious white garlic sauce, which you can also get s a side with pita. Also on the menu is baclava, which was divine. And the staff were just delightful. Definitely try this restaurant located at West County Center in the food court. I highly recommend it!

We were excited to try it since it has 4.9 stars on others platforms. A group of us went there on Sunday and our food was so oily it wasn’t edible. The sandwiches were literally leaking oil, we couldn’t eat the pita because of how much oil was on it. We dried up the meat with napkins to salvage it but the rest was not edible. We all had upset gassy stomachs for the next 24 hours due to such high fat content. I will say we all ordered lamb/beef doner meat. My husband ordered a kebab and it was not oily. Three of us had terribly oily food. Yes, we should have gone back and complained in retrospect and given them a chance to fix it. Putting this review out there as critical feedback for the store to do some quality control on oil levels used when preparing food. It also took a very long time to get our food, almost as if we were at a sit down restaurant. This is the mall food court, most clients expect relatively quick delivery of their food. Wish them luck and hope they succeed in the mall.

Much too expensive for the quality and quantity. The pita is just store-bought. They take it out of a plastic bag and heat it up for a little bit. The rice is cheap white rice as opposed to basmati or at least white long grain. The “lamb” is little strips of what tasted more like skirt steak. Their huge saving grace—which is why I imagine the reviews are so inflated—is they have some good seasoning on both the hummus and “lamb”. I certainly won’t be back. I suggest Medina Grill, if you’re looking for a solid Mediterranean joint and 1 of their 3 locations isn’t too far from you.

Food was fantastic! Best falafel I’ve had in the STL area; they have a pomegranate molasses sauce on it, which I’ve never had and it’s a delightful counterbalance to the crispy fried exterior. The pita gyro was protein heavy, which I prefer. Baklava was really good, not super sweet and well balanced. Food took maybe five minutes? But I watched them fry the falafel and make everything fresh, so I am not upset about it at all.

First time trying this spot and overall decent. I wanted to love it but I couldn’t. The med salad was a bit overdressed so I drained it and added more lettuce. The pide was small and a little well done. The side salads were a lot bigger than I expected though so that was a plus. May try again another day. Plus why is there no whipped feta???

Delicious food!!!
Dolmas are wonderful, fresh lemon to squeeze over.
FRESH falafel is spice wonderfully and great too, grand falafel salad could use a little more ingredients to make it grand, but nonetheless wonderful and fresh, love the beets.
All the sauces are fresh and awesome as hell too!!

I have never been to their other location off of grand blvd, but I was at West County Mall and I saw there food and I could not resist. I ordered the falafel and my boyfriend ordered the Gyro and it was unbelievably good. Both of the ladies that were working gave great service and they were so kind. And as someone who is Middle Eastern when it comes to Mediterranean food, I am a very harsh critic, but their food is genuinely very, very good. I really recommend the falafel. Inshallah they get more recognition!!❤️
