Our daughter wanted to introduce us to the favorite bar for her and her friends. For a college bar in a college town, it’s got a unique chill vibe. No club music, but rather a nice mix of classic rock to more modern alternative. Darts, pool, and places to hang. My only complaint is that the pours on my bourbon and scotch were pretty skimpy. Regardless, a cool joint.

I will say the ambiance is pretty cool. That’s about it. I was recommended to drink “The Delusion” by a friend and I absolutely love a mystery. However I am allergic to amaretto and I asked if it had amaretto in it and the bartender said “I can’t tell you”. I understand that there are “secret recipes” but when allergies are involved you should definitely be more transparent and clear.

I would give less than 1 star if I could. Horrible service. The drinks are awful, and the lemonade is gross and tastes like rusty, stale water. When attempting to bring this up to the manager, I was presented by the manager in a very rude manner and was told to “get over it.” Extremely dirty and disgusting bar. Worst place in Eau Claire by far. Don’t waste your time or money.

Best bar on Water Street and way more enjoyable to sit and have a drink at than most bars down there now. Atmosphere is kept fun without getting too rowdy and the staff are always on point.

Very disappointed in how this establishment holds themselves and how their bouncer (s) hold themselves. I have bartended in Eau Claire at a very similar bar for years and will not go back after Halloween weekend. My boyfriend reached out on their Facebook page in regards to a situation that occurred, and they read the complaint with no response back. Next time, I will have the police handle their bouncer.

Usually a more docile crowd. Great place to pregame and the 10 grand delusions tickets for a shirt is a renowned quest in Eau Claire. Drink 10 in a night if you can!!

With the large intimate benches the GI COULD be a great bar to catch up with your friends but for some reason they play the music so loud you can’t carry on a conversation without losing your voice. The drinks are reasonably priced and the selection fair, but the service is dismal. In my years of bar going the GI is the only bar that on occasion I simply do not tip the bartenders because they can be stingy with the drinks and rude even when the bar is empty.
