The “house specialty” sesame chicken was
D-I-S-G-U-S-T-I-N-G!! I honestly do not think I’ve ever had worse sesame chicken. This soggy on the outside, tough on the inside, battered chicken was floating in a flavorless syrup, very few sesame seeds, not the rich brown sweet sauce that you normally get. It completely tanked the meal. It was truly awful and unfortunately, the most expensive thing we ordered. I’ve given up complaining to these places and taking it directly to Google reviews to save some other poor sucker from ordering that disgusting dish. Yuck!
I ordered online and the menu was definitely intriguing/promising. The process was simple and it told us the food would be ready in 30mins. When I got there the food wasn’t done yet, and I had to wait an additional 15mins before that was done. The owner was nice about it and apologized so I didn’t think too much about it. However, when we got home the order forgot our side rice that comes with the meal. Big disappointment there especially since we had to wait extra to get the food.
The main dishes were ok tasting, nothing too special. We also got some steamed pork buns and sesame balls from the Dim Sum menu. The buns were a little small and the sesame balls hardly had any sesame on them.
I don’t think I’ll give them another try as there is a place in Omaha that serve excellent Dim Sum and Cantonese-food.
I eat Chinese only a couple times of year and I normally only order from this restaurant.
I ordered vegetable spring rolls which were delicious.
For my entree I ordered beef chowmein and it comes with a side of white or fried rice.
The portions have shrunk down and are served in Tupperware. The rice comes in the traditional white box. I miss the days of all of it being served that way.
The staff was nice and gave me 3 soy sauce packets, which you need to ask for otherwise you get 1 packet.
Support local.
Order the hand made Sui Mai thank me later, one of my favorite secret spots.
