This is the first time I’ve gone to the station pub. I was a little apprehensive because for the last week that I have been here I’ve not had good experiences at restaurants.
Well that all changed today! There was one bartender, two waitresses and two kitchen staff for the whole place. I got the last table of two, it was packed. My waitress was very up front about the wait for food due to just getting slammed ! I totally appreciated that and can understand. Multiple times throughout my time. There, her and the other waitress checked in on me offering me another drink, more water and giving me the eta on my food. These are the kinds of things I expect servers to do. The bartender went over and above to provide me change on the pull tab machine. Didn’t like my $5 bill.
The food was delicious! I had the turkey club sandwich with fries. Everything tasted really fresh and vibrant and the turkey was cooked to perfection. They have a lovely garlic aioli that complimented the french fries beautifully! The people that work in this restaurant clearly enjoy their job and have integrity in doing it well! It was a pleasure to leave a tip!! I will go to this restaurant again.

Small Town Dive with a Big Personality. Great for locals I’m sure, a tad awkward for out of towners.
This pub had that small-town charm everyone talks about – for better or worse. The bartender was like a real-life Ruth from Ozark. She kept the drinks flowing and the atmosphere lively, even if her idea of lively was arguing with a couple regulars over the hockey game.
The service was spotty at best. My server was also the bartender and I had to go up to the bar from my table to get a menu and pay. The live music was…well, let’s just say it wasn’t going to win any awards. My beef dip was just okay. The meat was decent, but the whole thing lacked flavor.
Overall, it’s an experience. If you’re looking for a fancy night out, this ain’t it. But if you want a dive bar atmosphere with some colorful characters, this pub might be your place. Just don’t expect top-notch service or gourmet food.

On a bike trip we all stopped in for some food and drinks and this establishment was amazing! The decor once you walk through the door shows lots of history, the staff was absolutely amazing and very welcoming. The owner was sociable and checked in with us, and the FOOD, OMG absolutely a 10 out of 10. I highly recommend the burgers, and the brisket bites!! This place will definitely be on the list to visit again.

Mixed feeling on this. The first two times we went there it was really nice and good food. The third time the food dropped quite a lot and it took 1 hour to be served. There were a lot of people and only one server, so I understand but the wait was too long. Still I would recommend this place.

We brought family here last night. It was good being able to eat downstairs. The burgers were very good. The wings were really good. It was wing Wednesday so was a good deal. My husband and I shared the large burger with a burger pattie, smoked meat, and sourkraut. It was just okay. The two meats just didn’t seem to work great together. The gluten free bun was very good though. The fries were good.

Food was good and our server was very attentive. Atmosphere – very quiet but nice decor. However, looking through reviews someone mentioned strange addon charges so I looked at my receipt; $3 for the thinnest slice of cheese (it was transparent!) and $6 to sub Yam fries, seems a little steep. That said, we will probably be back.

Lovely people working here – such a kind welcome. Unfortunately the food was quite bland and seemed to be made from very low quality ingredients. We chose not to finish it. It also seems that the menu was written by ChatGPT.

Stopped here on our way to Nelson for lunch! We had a dog with us and we were able to sit on the patio with the dog outside the patio but still beside us. Our server was super sweet and friendly. The food was great. We had burgers and salad and they hit the spot! An added extra was the geocache that we grabbed on our way out!
