Grand Central in Petaluma is such a cool little spot. It’s right on the river, and they’ve got outdoor tables and chairs so you can grab your empanadas and drinks inside and then head out to the riverside to enjoy it.
It was raining when we stopped in, so we stayed inside, and everything felt unique and amazing. Great vibe, great food, and just a different kind of place.
If you haven’t been, it’s definitely worth treating yourself.

Driving by and see a sign “Coffee and Empandas”. Well those are two of my favorite things. In my 16 yrs of living in Petaluma I’ve never found any Empandas here so I had to go. Delicious Argentine style Empanadas – which are meant to be a more of a snack than a full meal- and great coffee.. Also went to their recent event on 10/18 and listened to some fun music while we danced on the on the large back patio overlooking the river and downtown, sipping some wine and beer on a beautiful warm Fall evening. Had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners, Juan Carlos. What an absolutely lovely gentleman. I appreciate how he and his wife are bringing culture, community, good coffee, and good vibes to Petaluma

I had the cappuccino and beef empanada. The cappuccino was well made, but to light for me, I prefer stronger (not there fault but mine for not ordering a double) The empanada was fantastic, I only Josh that it was a larger size. Seating was pretty good mainly outside seating with minimal inside seating. The view outside was very relaxing and well worth the visit. The one wish O had was that they had there mugs available for sale.

Gand Central is a beloved community space with excellent coffee & food. My daughter enjoyed playing in the giant sandbox while I nibbled at a delicious veggie empanada & guava pastry. The best empanada dough I’ve ever tasted & perfectly chewy. What a treat to stop by on the owner’s birthday, complete with a community celebration. Grand Central is a true gem!

Grand Central is such a great community space featuring a wide variety of coffee/tea options with delicious baked goods (both sweet and savory). They are super accommodating to both families and local groups and offer a beautiful setting on the Petaluma River. Don’t miss the Tacos Don Pepe pop up as well.

Grand Central kindly hosted our non-profit (North Bay Rowing Club) for our Ergathon today. We could not have had a better experience. Its a beautiful location, the taco food truck was delicious and there was ample room for people to hang out. Highly recommend Grand Central and appreciate their community spirit.

The coffee and food here is SOOOO GOOD! On top of that they have the most exquisite gift options and “treat yo self” items to purchase. My absolute favorite hand thrown pottery cappuccino cups of all time were a partnership with a local artist that they showcase. Being gluten free I was so excited to find empanadas that were BETTER than any I’ve had in years! All of their gluten free options are intentional and don’t feel like you’re compromising. Can not recommend this place enough. Hands down worth the drive!

First time at this gem of place on the bank of the Petaluma River. Grand Central serves up an eclectic variety of locally made pastries, with their unique coffee options. I loved the Horchata Latte! Looking forward to returning to try the empanadas and sitting outside to enjoy them in the sunshine. Really interesting array of local and Ecuadorian crafts and products on display and available for sale. If you support local businesses, this is a must-visit.
