For being a Sat lunch at noon, it was not well stocked or kept up with. The man at the turkey station saw I was scraping the last of the turkey but just stood there moving other food around, basically spreading it out instead of putting out fresh replacements. The other foods had spilled over crusty food around it, you can see he was lazy to wipe & keep clean. How about keeping up with your station? Not worth the drive, it was so-so not good, much less great as some reviews say.

Went there recently over Mother’s Day weekend with some family. Service was fast and friendly. Food was pretty good… plenty of options. I had hoped for a little more separation from the main casino area. Perhaps a glass wall or something. The lights/sound/noise was not a problem… that’s fun to see. It was the constant smell of smoke while eating. Granted… it got a little better the further back into the seating area you got. But if you have a big group, they will likely seat you closer up to the front — which is where we were. Other than that, food was good.

Loved the food here! Delicious salad bar with much to choose from. French dressing was amazing and bread sticks made me want 2nds! Different stations with different foods Asian, Italian ,Mexican, American. The fried chicken was crispy and hot. Staff friendly and refilled drinks at appropriate times. Nice selection of deserts such as pies(including sugar free) and ice cream. My only complaint is that the Asian looked like it was sitting there awhile and I would replenish that more often. Old fried rice not my cup of tea. Overall great atmosphere and would definitely return a visit 🙂

We had our son, daughter in law, 26 yr old grandson with us. Stopped to eat and decided on buffet. Very interesting as to how they pulled the hodgpoge eateries together. We all really enjoyed, the food was good and so much variety. Great job at pulling together the buffet. The service was great as well as price.

Got invited out with my family 5/15/19, first time ever eating there. The dining floor was relatively empty and the food had been sitting out for a long time, no salad at the salad bar, the oysters were coagulated and everything else was bland and dry. The only thing slightly palatable was the shrimp. Tried the dessert it was ok but most of it was way too sweet, freezer burnt tasting or bone dry as everything else. Probably won’t be coming back.

This is the second time I’ve been there since the remodel back into a buffet. Great atmosphere, service is decent. But that is about it. Food is better at Kwik Trip down the road. The group I was with tonight said that the only thing that was any good was the fresh fruit. Hard to screw that up.
There was also a long line to get into on this trip and they were saying an hour wait time. We looked in and saw almost half the tables were empty. It appeared as if they were taking reservations instead of first come first served like they would normally do. I think this was partly because there was a concert at the casino that night and it was Crab Leg night.
My daughter is vegetarian and there were very few options for her tonight that weren’t salad, potatoes or corn.

Not impressed. Food was very bland and most of it kinda gross. My wife had a hard bit of something in her mashed potatoes that almost broke her tooth. The pizza had a small price of food-like wrapper in it, maybe from the pepperoni or possibly a very hard and thick tomatoe peel bit. Service was good; our glasses were always full and we were seated immediately. The best part was the ice cream cones we grabbed on our way out.

Went for the Easter Buffet. Had reservations for a large group but the hostess said she didn’t have any reservations and we’d have to wait more than an hour in the smoky casino. We asked a different person and actually they had our table ready. -1 for the bad hostess. The food was all pretty good and there was a wide variety! Themed stations with Asian, Mexican, Italian and other more American comfort foods, etc. The beverage dispensers were broken, so you had to get beverages from the wait staff, but they were pretty attentive. We left them a decent tip.

Hinckley. My opinion and experience.. the new design is absolutely horrible. Arrived and waited in line for 20mins to get to the “check in” counter. Then we were advised the wait will be an HR even though there were many MANY tables obviously empty. Well, their ability to tell time struggles as much as the buffet does because 2hrs later we received our text that we could be seated. Still dozens waiting for tables even though now that we were in we counted over 26 empty tables and even more empty chairs at their rail seating. Crab was decent. Everything else was decent. At best. Certainly will not be returning. Proud we didn’t take the bait and spend money in the casino for the magical 1hr wait that was so obviously an attempt for patrons to spend more $$$.
Sad experience. Had such high hopes for the re-opening. Bye bye grand casino. My waistline thanks you.

My son and I and my mother are staying at Hinckley tonight and tomorrow and ate at the buffet tonight and it was flat out disgusting!! We ate about 5pm and many of the stations didnt even have full trays of food and many of the items they had were cold, stale tasting, old looking like they were used for lunch or from days prior. In checking out the Mexican station the black beans looked like old slop they looked so horrible. Deep fried potstickers which were gross. Flatbread pizza that you couldn’t even get because the crust was sloppy.
In talking with the server she didnt seem to care at all, bit did get the manager who I can say most definitely did not care at all about any issues we had. Oh and dont forget the flies I saw on the swedish meatballs…but hey I know they would not have cared at all.
