So delicious. We were debating if we wanted thai food or not as we browsed the menu outside their front door and a gentleman came out and exclaimed to us how great it was. He told us we should definitely go for it. Once we went inside we were greeted immediately and give prompt & friendly service. The pan fried garlic pepper was delicious. Yellow curry was great and the Pad Pak was equally yummy. I honestly have no complaints and will definitely be visiting again

Pary and her servers are super welcoming and attentive. I have been coming here for over 3 years, including through the pandemic when it was take out only. Every experience I have been met with a smile and excellent food. Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Also try Dek Doi Thai cafe on Piedmont Ave which is co-owned by the same owner.

My sister promised me amazing Thai food, and she was right! Everything was incredible, and the service was exemplary. The pumpkin curry and lemongrass shrimp salad were on point. I loved the space and the gorgeous photos of Thailand. I look forward to returning the next time I’m in Oakland!

I had the pumpkin curry and rice with thai tea at lunch today. The food was excellent, my favorite part was the rich curry sauce. I was also grateful for the fast and kind customer service. I ate in the dining room with one other diner and we were both served promptly during the lunch hour while lots of take out orders were filled too. Sometimes if you dine in I feel like you are the last priority because they have so many take out orders but not at this place. Thank you for the yummy lunch!

We just stopped here last night for some good comfort Thai food. We weren’t disappointed with our restaurant choice. The waitresses were friendly, attentive and efficient. We shared satay chicken with peanut sauce as an appetiser and shared the house special of battered fried fish fillet in a yellow curry with veggies and pineapple and a side of jasmine steamed rice. What a beautiful plate and such lovely flavors. Great choices for a nice light dinner for 2. Total bill came about 15$ each including tip. Great value for money. We will return for sure to try my favorite shrimp rolls and pad thai 🙂

Coming into the restaurant the host was quite friendly and got us seated right away. We sat next to people who had just been seated too. We had to wait quite a while for our food as people came in and out to pick up their orders my husband and I still sat there waiting with our baby. We got the drinks we ordered (but no water which he had to ask for numerous times).the people seated next to us seem to have received their food and water expeditiously while we were kept being told to just wait a few minutes which turned into an hour. At first we didn’t mind since the host was so welcoming. People coming in to pick up their orders were served first. The host had a friend eating there too, he brought us the wrong order and then removed it from our table and said “oh this is my friend’s order”. His friend arrived well after us. We had to again ask for water of which the host brought but then told us to wait once again. We were being lenient but after being brought the wrong food and not being served after people who arrived after us were served we just decided to pay for our drinks and leave. The service was almost good but the host ruined it. I was looking forward to the food but am now discouraged to even go there in the future. I hope whoever turns out going there gets treated better than me and my little family were treated.

This is a great restaurant. I love the pumpkin vegetable curry especially. I am a vegan so it’s nice to know a new place where there are several vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options. Perry and Eric a very fun and friendly and have a great staff. The restaurant is very clean and colorful, with vibrant photos of beautiful bustling Thailand. It is located across the street from the beautiful Lake Merritt. The Mango sticky rice is excellent, as is their pumpkin orange Thai iced tea. Just blocks from the Grand Lake Theatre and the artisan shops of Lakeshore makes this a perfect place to take a date out on a Friday night.

After trying probably 7-8 different Thai places, I feel like I’ve found my match! These guys actually use real spice and flavor! Not just all salt sugar and coconut milk across each dish (osha!) A couple notes : curry doesn’t come with rice (nbd, but not clear on delivery app) buuut the pumpkin curry was fantastic and ginger salad was bright and crunchy.

Pad khee mao was awesome!! I ordered spicy and it came out perfect. Usually i want it spicier from restaurants. Fried tofu was tasty. It had carrots which im not used to in this dish but they were good — slightly crunchy and not too sweet. No egg so I’m a fan too. This is the second time ordering this dish for me at GAT and it was better than the first time. The spice was right this time. Will order again, I am in the neighborhood.
