Gran Gusto … what else! Still after 15 years the best Italian pizza place in Boston. Great antipasti and pizzas and all the food is real Italian. Great wine list …. At the right price!

This is definitely the best Italian restaurant in the greater Boston area. The food here is very authentic and reminds me of some of the best food I had during my numerous visits to Italy.

Booked online & requested outdoor seating but due to staffing? this could not be accommodated. The indoor seating was spacious. Service could have been better & more attentive. However, the pasta was fresh & delicious. Hats off to the chefs! We will return 🙂

Don’t get the Gang Gang. It’s a red cocktail that tastes like grapefruit juice mixed with lemons. Stick with a white wine like a Prosecco. Comes in a cute bottle and matches with most of what’s on the menu anyway. The salmon was magnifique, as they say in Italian…at least I think that’s Italian…crispy skin with a soft delicious interior. And a nice little avocado salad with spinach on the bottom. Your taste buds will thank you. The pizza was good also. The bread was soft. And the Caesar salad came with two anchovies. Not sure if that was an accident or on purpose but it worked. Good place to have a sit down all things considered. Surprisingly packed on the Tuesday afternoon we went. Must be popular after work.

What a phenomenal experience! Felt incredibly welcome from the moment we stepped through the door. The food was exceptional. There was a depth of flavor to every bite and we cannot wait to go back again! Thank you Gran Gusto!

Authentic Italian restaurant, high quality/price. We had antipasti and some pizzas and our dinner was very satisfactory. The pizza dough is well made and I was particularly impressed by how fresh and high quality the individual ingredients were, including pizza toppings. Nice ambience too: the outdoor patio is lovely. On the downside, there was a problem with our online reservation and had to wait some 30 minutes before being seated.

Delicious neighborhood Italian spot in Cambridge with a confusing as heck parking situation but I made it! The antipasto plate was super super fresh and lovely. My pasta dish actually ended up being tossed around in a cheese wheel next to our table before being served to me and I was beyond happy with this surprise because the more cheese the better, always! I am excited to come back to Gran Gusto!

We had dinner here, the food was okay but the service was absolutely terrible. Our server came to get our order right away, but she never came back again through the rest of the night. The wait staff kept ignoring us, even though they would walk past us several time. The restaurant wasn’t even busy, more than 50% of the tables were empty. We had to flag down a waiter to get a dessert menu, then flag down another waiter to order dessert. Fast forward 20 mins, we were still waiting for dessert. We decided to just quit, and leave. We walked to the front to ask for the check so we can pay and leave, the owner printed out the check for us, we paid and left. The owner was nonchalant and not even a little bit apologetic for their dismal service. What was even more frustrating was that the staff was aware that they messed up, but not a single person apologized for their awful service as we left. I’m never going back and I don’t recommend it either.

So, the food was decent. Enjoyed the home made pasta and the cheese plate. Definitely a family place, so the screaming children should be expected, unfortunately.
