Gramps Getaway is such a great spot with a beautiful view of the Miami skyline. The scenery alone makes it worth visiting, especially in the evening. There is valet parking available for seven dollars, which is good to know ahead of time.
We walked in with no reservation and were seated right away. The service was great and our waiter was really friendly and attentive. We came during happy hour and enjoyed the ten dollar cocktails, which were a nice bonus.
I ordered the double cheeseburger, which ended up being more of a smash burger. It was pretty good, but at eighteen dollars and not coming with fries, it felt a little pricey. It also wasn’t very filling and honestly I probably could have eaten two of them.
We also ordered the crab dip and that was easily the star of the show. It was spicy, had a nice kick, and we completely devoured it. The conch fritters were okay, but they didn’t compare to the crab dip. The drinks were good and paired well with everything.
Overall, the ambiance, service, and food made for a really fun experience. We had a great time and I’d definitely come back.

Loved our time at Gramps Getaway. The staff was great and made sure we had everything we needed. The food and the view were phenomenal! The Paratha was an absolute surprise! I’d come back just for that! And the lobster roll was delish. And both the ceviche and crudo hit the spot!
The vibe was perfect. We went on a Friday after an event nearby and they had a gal playing vinyls and creating a very warm and fun environment. Plus they have a Photo Booth inside which we totally took advantage of for our date night.
An absolute bonus was that The Siren’s Call drink had a jelly mermaid tail that totally surprised me! So fun!
Finally – Shout out to Mikeia (sorry if I totally messed up the spelling!) because she was phenomenal! We will definitely be coming back!

Really disappointed with our experience here. We were excited to try this place, but it ended up being frustrating from start to finish.
First, they didn’t have at least half of the beer options listed on their menu available. What’s the point of offering a wide selection if you can’t actually serve it? On top of that, the overall food menu felt very limited with not many options to choose from.
To make things more confusing, there were two different menus floating around that showed two different prices for the same items. That’s unacceptable. Customers shouldn’t have to guess which price is correct.
What really sealed the deal for me was the automatic 18% gratuity added to the bill for a party of just four people. There was no heads-up, and for a small group, that feels excessive—especially when the experience wasn’t great.
Between the limited availability, inconsistent pricing, and surprise gratuity, we won’t be returning.

Former Whiskey Joe’s. Located next to the marina behind Rusty Pelican. Great views of Miami. Food was ok . A cheeseburger arrived cold and had to be sent back. Was replaced by a new one. Melon salad with cucumbers was tasty but rather small. 1,50$ was charged for mustard ? Prices are high and 18 % gratuity is automatically added. Our group of 4 spent 180 $ for sandwiches, a burger and lemonade.

Stopped into Gramps Getaway and was really impressed. I had the conch fritters and the cheeseburger and both were excellent. The fritters were crispy and flavorful, and the burger definitely lives up to the hype.
Service was fantastic from start to finish, (special mention to Dee!! ) and the atmosphere is exactly what you want in a waterfront spot, relaxed, fun, and with great views.
I’ll definitely be back, and the lobster roll is next on my list after seeing so many people rave about it. Highly recommend!

This is my new favorite spot for some drinks and food with a view! The drinks were delicious! We ordered the Cucumber in Paradise, Mango Verde, and the Ube Painkiller. The staff are all so fun and attentive. My friend spilled her water and within 30 seconds they literally cleaned it up so fast! The staff exceeded my expectations with how they handle things around the restaurant. I will definitely be returning and telling everyone I know about this hidden gem!

Now, the real star of the show was our bartender, the beautiful redhead Nicole Urbay. Nicole didn’t just serve us; she provided an experience of the highest standard. Her attention to detail, warm professionalism, and genuine care made our visit exceptional. She’s a master of her craft and an absolute asset to this establishment.
On her recommendation, I started with a Piña Colada that was creamy, perfectly balanced, and refreshing. We then moved on to Tequila Ocho shots. What a revelation! This is a truly great tequila—smooth, flavorful, and crucially, with no bad aftertaste. It’s clear they care about quality spirits here.
For food, I ordered the Blackened Daily Catch. It was an absolutely delicious plate—the fish was fresh, cooked to perfection with a fantastic blackened crust, and seasoned beautifully. A home run.

The food and service at Gramps Getaway is great. Dani was our amazing server, very friendly, and very helpful and knowledgeable. The rest of the staff was great as well. The key lime pie is a must! Our other delicious favorites include the lobster roll, Key West jumbo shrimp cocktail, blackened fish sandwich, spare ribs, and yes, they have espresso! We are looking forward to our next visit for their happy hour, M-F from 4-7.

The views and atmosphere here are incredible definitely a great spot to visit with friends. That said the service was disappointing. We were ignored by the servers, and I ended up placing my order at the bar. The food itself is decent, but for the price, you can find better options elsewhere. Given that this place was rated in the top 25 restaurants in Miami by Infatuation, the expectations were higher.
