Check this (Grains Indian Cuisine) place out. Interior looks so nice and clean (sorry forgot to take photos). More importantly the food and service is great. I recommend the panipuri (yummy goodness in little bites) for the flavor explosion. It seems odd at first but it’s really good. They gave us tapas (the thin crisps with 2 sauces) which is awesome. We tried the tandoori sampler which is good to see which ones you like. We like the Chicken Tikka the best but the lamb and mint chicken kebab was also pretty good. We split the Korma Chicken and had to have fresh garlic naan. Definitely enjoyed everything.

New Indian Cuisine that just opened not too long ago where the old Flapjack used to be. Finally had the chance to stop by and try them out the other day.
This is an easy 3.5 for me.
Food was good but didn’t wow me, but it was good. I had pretty all Indian spot here in Lansing/East Lansing/Okemos etc.
They did a great job fixing up this spot. The inside got to be one of the cleanest Indian spot I’d been to. Looked almost like an upscale restaurant, the staff was dress nicely.
Would I got back to it again absolutely there’s still plenty I haven’t tried yet on the menu.
The only thing was we had to wait almost an hour before I had to asked if our food was ready yet and then few minutes after it started to come out.

Loved the service!!! Sam was charming, informative and knowledgeable! We ordered dal (which I wish would have been offered as a side but isn’t), samosa chat, tika kabobs, vegetable biryani, fish tika, tandoori mixed grill, and mango cake. Also the bartender made a fruity “surprise me” cocktail and a gin lemonade for us. The cocktail menu is not printed yet. He shakes the cocktails just like the movies!! Also white wine. Everything was fabulous. Will definitely be back!

They are new, so I’m not going to be crazy critical. Rather, I’d like to add a few suggestions to improve on the experience. Butter chicken and lamb Rogan josh needs more than a lot of sauce. Lamb kadai instead? The lamb was tender. Chicken… thigh meat? Salad, no! Prefer ketchkumber. Onion kulcha was atypical but good. Nan + or -. Not sure.
Good raita and samosas. Interior needs more Indian inspired decorations and maybe some soothing ragas to calm the nerves. Excellent wait staff.

I visited this restaurant for the first time last week and was immediately impressed. The ambiance felt warm, clean, and almost like a fine-dining establishment where you’d expect excellent food and service. I was greeted right away and seated comfortably.
Both the service and the food were outstanding. The staff were attentive — checking in often without being intrusive and quickly refilling water when needed. The first meal was delicious, so I came back a second time to see if the consistency held — and it absolutely did.
On both visits I ordered the Lamb Rogan Josh — tender chunks of lamb in a rich curry sauce, served with white rice and a salad (I chose salad both times). It was flavorful and cooked perfectly.
The restaurant was clean and well-organized both times, and the overall experience was fantastic from start to finish. If you’re looking for a new place to try — especially for Indian cuisine — I highly recommend this spot. I’ll definitely be returning with friends and family soon!

Open less than a month and I wish nothing but success for this restaurant. Delicious food that was also visually appealing. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive and informative. They also did an amazing job with the decor and setting the tone and mood of the atmosphere. I will be back regularly as I can’t say enough good things about Grains Indian Cuisine.

Although I got takeout, the inside of the restaurant is very nice and clean, with contemporary furnishings. I look forward to returning so I can dine in. I was greeted almost immediately by the owner when I walked in, and she handed me my food and thanked me. The food was hot, fresh and delicious! I ordered the goat curry, spice level hot (not Indian hot, because I got it for lunch and didn’t want to risk it iykyk). The food was very good, and a good amount of spice level. I’ll absolutely be back!
My only complaint was the amount of waste this one meal creates. The rice and curry are in two sperate plastic and aluminum containers. I would have been fine if it was in one, since all I did when I got back to work is dump one on another. Maybe if they had an option in the ordering to minimize packaging waste.

This is not like any other Indian Cuisine that we’ve experienced. It is so beautiful inside and the staff are impeccable. The food was delicious and service was exceptional. Definitely my new go to! We had chicken biryani, chicken tikki masala, butter chicken, and naan. We also were served lentil soup.
