Food was extremely okay. The service and atmosphere stand out the most, very welcoming place. I got the Nashville Hot Sandwich with pimento, and it had SO MUCH PIMENTO it made the sandwich kind of unbearable to eat. Fries were unique and good.

Okay, on a whim, we stopped by after a Firefighter pension conference. The place is clean, relaxed, and the people are friendly.

We ordered the buffalo chicken fries and the bratwurst. We also had the Wayfinder beer and a double express (yes, I had both).

The fries were perfectly balanced with a touch of heat and a hint of blue cheese flavor. With the Wayfinder Pilsner, it was AMAZING! The bratwurst was traditional in its meat, with sweetness added to the onions. Mustard was mild but added the right amount of flavor.

Altogether, I would eat here once a week if I lived in the community. Delicious and highly recommended!

It’s been two days since we stopped here for lunch while passing through, and I can’t stop thinking about the GT sauce. Whatever you order, ask for extra. We even asked if they sold it bottled. Alas, they do not. But OMG. So good. I mean, the peri peri chicken sandwich and the fries were also good, but that sauce is *elevated* in the most delightful way.

But enough about the sauce. Food was good and served fresh and fast. Beer flavors were varied and intriguing. Even the lemonade was noteworthy, not just a powdered mix afterthought for non-drinkers.

The location, upstairs on a corner, felt super cool. Outside seating was inviting but it was too chilly the day we visited. The inside space is comfortable and encourages you to stay awhile. Bathroom was clean.

I’d be back. I’d order extra extra GT sauce.

In the area for personal business when we found Grain Theory. What’s great venue, outstanding beer and the best fish and chips (fries) this side of Boston. Staff were knowledgeable and friendly and the place was nice and clean. Will be back!

Location and atmosphere are great. Loved the bottomless coffee. Food took a very long time to come out. Had to request utensils as they’re not available to grab. Breakfast tacos were bland. My friend enjoyed her chicken sandwich and fries but wasn’t crazy about the sauce. I’d return and get something different if ever back in Abilene.

Great vibes and great food! The guy at the bar was very helpful and friendly. The food was delicious. Loved my burger with a gluten-free bun and the fries. The kids were very happy with their fish and chips and my husband said the steak was awesome. We will definitely be returning our own next trip through Abilene.

A couple of buddies and I were in Abilene for some personal business around lunch time. We stopped in Grain Theory. The food was great and the beer was outstanding. Staff were friendly and helpful. The place had a really good vibe. We wished we had more time to spend there, but will be going back when we are in the area. We are considering going back for a St. Patrick’s Day event.

When I make a review , something was terrible or incredible, this place it’s incredible, this place: They respect the kitchen and what they do; the best burger I’ve had in a long time—juicy, incredibly flavorful, and their sauces are amazing. The cinnamon pretzel is addictive with their creams. Congratulations! I ll be back for sure.!

If you are handicapped, this place is not for you. No wheelchair access from what I saw. Went Monday evening before dinner rush and ordered two of the burger meals. Atmosphere was nice and staff polite. Waited 45 minutes and did not receive our meal. My wife and I got up to leave and when I returned the buzzer notified the order was ready. Still left and Will probably not return.

I got the brewhouse burger, and it was amazing. My friend and I stayed for a few hours. All of the staff were insanely kind. It was a little louder than I usually like, but we sat outside and had an awesome time.
