My co-workers wanted me to find new soul food place to try and I am so happy I chose this place! When I first pulled up I was still unsure if I made a good choice because there was only one person in line but by the time they were done servicing that customer the line was 10+ deep after me. Its locally and black owned which is the type of businesses I love to support!
The food is off the chain! There is enough for me to eat on this plate 2-3 times and for a really very reasonable price. When you order the turkey & dressing you get a whole turkey wing with a couple of scoops of dressing, I recommend getting that over just the whole wing plate. The mac & cheese is probably some of the best I have ever had. My plate is the one with lima beans, the only thing I would change is adding black pepper to the lima beans which i did after my first taste. I’ll definitely be returning until I’ve been able to try everything they have! my coworkers said they loved everything on their plates!
The customer service was not bad but it wasn’t great either. They weren’t rude or anything but it was strictly, what do you want and keep it moving type situation. Wont keep me from going back as long as they are open but worth a mention for those who expect all the courtesies to be given.
It was carryout only but I’m not sure if that’s just for lunch, they didn’t have a big dining area but may have it open for dinner.
10/10 recommend!

Only a handful of Meat and Two+ places in Memphis and this is one of the better ones. There’s a serious amount of carry out, which says there’s a loyal following out there. Cozy dine in area if you want. Fountain drinks. Family friendly. Serving sizes are good and I left feeling full. Enjoy.

My first visit was okay. There was a line and only one person fixing the food so it took longer than expected. So if you plan on going please kno you will be there for a minute. They also had people waiting orders on the side. My best advice would be to call in. What I did not like was that there were no prices listed but they had monitors. Also with the long line you don’t have time to ask what is what so you have to kind of keep it moving or just know. They don’t have many selections but when I went I ended up getting the turkey and dressing and a veggie plate which cost me almost about $30. The seasoning was good and it was a good size portion I guess except for the greens. I could have got a little more to be honest. They are not over seasoned so that’s a plus for me because who wants to eat salty food. Some of the vegetables that I have any salt so you might have to add to your own liking. There are some tables there to sit down and eat but with it being so packed I would not recommend it. It was only three workers so be mindful when waiting. I might try them again but on another day. My cornbread also had a little burn on it but it was okay too. They can remind me of country cooking or Southern hands would you know both of them high as well lol

Small little diner. A come as you are kinda place. One of the few meat and two/three type places we have encountered. Today was baked chicken, smothered porkchops, turkey wings, and neck bone with Mac and cheese, cabbage, pinto, black eyed peas, green beans, and sweet potatoes. Cornbread was fire! Rolls also available. Fresh cut cake is in the cooler. Peach cobbler was delicious! Meat fell off the bone. Sides seasoned just right. Reminiscent of my grandma’s cooking. Y’all. So good. Lord, bless the hands that prepared this food! Amen!

I could gatekeep, but I won’t. Looking for some catfish on a Friday? This is where you go. Go BEFORE 2:30/3:00 or you risk it being sold out. But the food is always good. I get the fish, yams, and cabbage. They ain’t ever missed.

1-13-2026 1:35pm I’m ordering my meal. I ask the guy what type of meat is that, he says oxtail. I say okay I will have that. The guy never said this meal is 40.00 otherwise I would have declined it. Before I came I looked at their menu for Tuesday and all meals were under 20.00. The lady tells me 45.00 so I ask the guy about it and he says the price is right and walks away. So I pay for the meal without creating a scene. As I was leaving I looked around for anything that posted the oxtail price and they’re was nothing posted. I order on average about 8 to10 meals minimum a month. The bad part is I really like the owner and now she’s the one who takes the L because I definitely want be back

It was very crowded, but the lune kept moving. Not very friendly staff, but all the food looks good. I got the pork chops and green beans and were flavorful and good. Yams and corn bread could use some more sugar but not bad. The mac n cheese wasn’t to my liking.

This was my first time trying this place,we got baked chicken, yams and greens on one plate and chicken & dressing,Mac and cheese and spaghetti on the other. The veggies and dressing was awesome seasoned very well but baby that baked chicken and cornbread was a different story. The chicken was so DRY you need a gallon of water to try and wash it down and the corn bread was a little brick. Don’t know if it was because I went around 4:00 and it had been on the steam table all day or what but I’m willing to try again with more veggies and a different protein next time.Oh and the prices on their website menu is NOT CORRECT.
