Came for a belated Valentine’s Day date. The fried mozzarella was the best I have ever had. Such high quality food. NY strip steak was amazing, fiancé had short rib. Both entrees were excellent. He had the budino and I had the apple for dessert. Such a fun and beautiful dining experience and service was top notch. Very pleased we tried a new restaurant and will add this to our best of State College list.

Visited this restaurant to celebrate a friend’s 21st birthday and had a wonderful time. The staff was amazing and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. The food and drinks were phenomenal, highly recommend eating with the folks over at Grace

My partner surprised me and made us a reservation here – I was BEYOND impressed! Such a hidden gem in State College.

The food was outstanding. He had the linguine, and I had the filet mignon (oscar). We shared an ahi tuna appetizer and he also ordered a caesar salad. It was probably the best meal I’ve had out in Central PA.

Our server, Alicia, made us feel so celebrated and cared for during our dining experience. She immediately offered and brought us champagne for our anniversary celebration. She did a fantastic job throughout service.

Overall, highly recommend!

We had a wonderful experience at Grace Restaurant. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making the meal even more enjoyable. The ahi tuna was absolutely delicious, perfectly fresh and flavorful. The brisket sandwich was tender and packed with rich, smoky taste, and the clam pasta was spot on, savory, comforting, and well balanced.

The staff went above and beyond by getting us in even though they were close to closing early, which we really appreciated.

The only downside was the chocolate cake. Unfortunately, it was a bit dry and tasted like it had been sitting out for a day, which was disappointing compared to the rest of the meal.

Overall, the food aside from dessert was fantastic, the atmosphere was wonderful, and the service was excellent. We would definitely come back for the main dishes.

The two of us took the occasion to dine at Carnegie House Restaurant last night for the first time. The place was beautiful snd elegant. The staff was attentive and friendly. Emily, our server, was very professional, excellent service. The food was good. My cocktail, Kentucky Derby was high end, tasty and generous. Hubby had the Broken Heel IPA which he enjoyed. A nice assortment of bread was offered, with a salted butter patty, nice presentation. The little starter apple wrapped in prosciutto and topped with cheese was a tasty bite. Bruce ordered the New York Strip entree ordered medium rare, which was more rare than medium but he said it was good. It came sliced medallion style, which presented beautifully but kinda hard to judge if he got the whole steak. The fingerling potato dish that came with it was generous and he liked it. I ordered the Lemon Pepper Chicken entree. I was happy that the kitchen handled my request for the greens to be prepared without garlic gracefully. The chicken was cooked well, but didn’t really have a lemon or pepper flavor, actually the main flavor profile was garlic ‍♀️ The Rosemary Frites were tasty, but difficult to eat graciously. Crispy and delicate, think thinner than a potato stick, they didn’t really stay on my fork and I was less than comfortable eating them with my fingers in an upscale restaurant. They were tasty, but again, not sure I got much of a rosemary taste. Don’t know if I can say the meal was worth the price. It’s pricier than most restaurants in the area, but I’ve had better meals for less money. The atmosphere and presentation matched the pricing, which made for a lovely dining experience, just wish I was wowed by the food, too.

We were warmly greeted at the front door and seated. We did have a reservation for a Sunday evening. Service was very good. The food was well prepared and hot. We enjoyed a nice cocktail and a bottle of wine with dinner. While neither of us usually order dessert, we were intrigued by the dessert options which turned out to be the most interesting part of the meal! It’s nice to have an adult restaurant in State college!

The atmosphere and music was very appropriate for a fine dining experience. There is also a very nice tavern next door we will try out one of these days. It took us many years to take the opportunity to visit Grace, but we will be back! Had a wonderful evening.

This is a beautiful high end french restaurant. A great place for a special occasion. The atmosphere is very pleasant and the service is awesome. We had Jumbo Lump Clampcake and Warm Goat Cheese salad for starters. The salad was good but the clamp cake was not impressive. Then, we had New York Strip and Sole Meuniere for entrees. The NY strip was tasty but the fish was lame. It came with a delicious pasta but we had to add salt to eat the fish. The desserts were the highlight of the night (they shouldn’t be). All in all, the food was not so impressive, it felt short for the price.

Top 5 all time favorite restaurants. Maybe even higher, but it’s like choosing a favorite child. I do not say this lightly.

The chef is very talented, everything came out so well. I tried a couple of appetizers, a few entrees and 4 desserts. The New York strip is the best NY strip I have ever had. Bar none (including many of my own). Truly phenomenal.

The desserts are a must try, they have lime and apple desserts that look like the fruit they’re mimicking. Look cool, and taste great. I really can’t say enough good things about this place.

Service was also very good. It was a bit slow, but nothing worth complaining about, just enough to be worth noting. Every employee in that place was helpful, friendly, and attentive. Overall the service was a cut above even many of the most high end fine dining places I have gone to.

It’s not cheap to eat here, but it is a good value for the money. If you are thinking about attending this place I highly recommend. Dining experiences do not come better than the Grace Restaurant.

Quiet elegance. Great service and amazing food. The menu has recently been reworked by a Tuscan chef.

This was perfect for my anniversary. The atmosphere was so fancy, and the meal was really good. The Berkshire Pork Belly appetizer was surprisingly good. It was crispy & and melty; I could have eaten 3 more. Portions are surprisingly small. I got the Norwegian Salmon, and it was arguably the best one I’ve ever tried (again, surprisingly small portion). My wife got the 14 oz New York Strip; this was the proper portion I was expecting. Also, the steak was phenomenal! It was cooked so perfectly with a delicious crust, and the hollandaise paired well with the fried potatoes. However, the seared onions looked great but were cold, so it was off-putting. We tried a Tiki Makai (mocktails), it was sweet, tropical & refreshing. For dessert, we ordered the Strawberry Shortcake with Chai Chantilly(whipped cream), so fresh & delicious. They even wrote happy anniversary on the plate for us. Overall, the experience was so great, and the atmosphere was perfect for our special night. Last note, be prepared to PAY for this experience. After tip, we were over $180, and I listed everything we ordered, including drinks.
