Tyler, the hostess, was wonderful. We stopped by the night before as walk-ins, but there was no availability. Tyler suggested we return the next day, made our reservation, and even secured us a great seating location since we were visiting from out of town. The venue itself was beautifully decorated with a great, lively vibe.
The food was flavorful and well-portioned for the price of $48. My friend and I both ordered the oxtail and grits. The oxtails were a good size, and two pieces were included. The grits were creamy and delicious without needing any added seasoning. While everything tasted great, I would have preferred the food to be served a bit hotter—it was warm, but not quite hot enough.
The drinks were strong and well-made. The live band was also excellent—they interacted with the audience and were very entertaining. Overall, it was a great experience, and if I’m ever back in Boston, I would definitely return.

When my friend and I got there, we did wait at the bar until our table was ready, our bartender Sammy was awesome he was very engaging with us, we also shared some laughs, the ambience was awesome. Once we got to our table our server Jesu’s waiting on us, he was also amazing. He went down the menu and explained everything and answered all questions. He was very helpful and made sure that we had everything that we needed. The food was very tasty I’m not a crab cake person, but I did get them and they were so good with the salad that came on the side, The dressing was exquisite. The band was also amazing. It was an all out good time/experience. Would definitely go again

Had a vibrant experience here , as expected based on the first hand recommendation I got( from a older couple ) and Google reviews. I expected a rich mix of Jamaican/ southern cuisine and that was up to par. My favorite was the upsidedown pineapple cake with coconut- to die for! That pasta was just delish – what an amazing sauce!
I booked a table at the stage which was worth the added cost for entertainment but be aware it can be very loud when its time to chat with your server and your diner guests. I think Because the area is so small and clustered at the stage is just felt awfully loud because the maximized all space so you’re literally sitting at the stage. Lol
This ambiance is one for mingling and having fun..not your mellow jazz and eat, its more up tempo and very vibrant scene .
That weekend night a week ago was off to a delayed start. Almost a 20 minute wait for all 9:30 seating and Im wondering if its because its such a entertainment atmosphere, people hardly leave their table , because are enjoying the show they paid for. Not sure, but my guess.
Other than that, great night. Pleasant staff, very charming!
I recommend this place for a fun night on the town- girlfriends, couples outing if looking for a upbeat night.
Id go back, but not a big deal like that for me.

Service was amazing from the moment we walked through the doors. Our waitress was great, but the server who placed our food on the table was rude and rolled her eyes because we had a large group and she wasn’t sure where to put the plates. It was a small confusion, and the eye roll was unnecessary and uncalled for. Other than that, great vibes, great music, and delicious food, especially the ribs and mac and cheese—great choice! The chicken was great, a large portion, and mine needed a little salt, but it was an excellent choice. We had a great time and felt very welcomed.

Cozy and nice place for an evening. The only drawback is the prices for dishes. Extremely high for the limited food choices in the menu. Otherwise great service, very nice entertainment (we went on a jazz live night). Convenient location with a lot of public parking garages around.

Came here with a group of 8 for a birthday celebration and it was exactly what we were looking for! The staff were incredibly attentive and kind. The music was OUTSTANDING and the overall ambiance was reminiscent of upscale speakeasy you’d find in like New Orleans or Memphis. The cocktails were also expertly crafted. We did enjoy the food but could have been elevated a little more with some more creativity and stronger flavors. But honestly, we left VERY happy and will certainly return often.

The vibe is perfect for a date night. Staff was very good to us. Menu has great food but would like a few more options in pasta or even a traditional steak dinner with roasted potatoes or fries is all it would add but overall that place was wonderful and great for any special occasion. The rice could use a bit more something my girl said who is Dominican but was fine for me.

This place was very nice, I had my birthday dinner there, the price is insanely high though for 5 ppl with 3 appetizers, entrees, 2 alcoholic drinks and soft beverages our bill was about $500. I’ve been to some pretty luxurious restaurants and never paid a price like that for food and entertainment. I liked the fact that it is black owned which drew my attention to go there. Next time I’ll know what I’m in for. SN: Try finding the menu online and know what you want before going so you know around how much you’ll be spending.

Came from Chicago for the Holidays. The food, the entertainment, the service, the ambiance! WOW! Shout out to our server Jesus who took care of us; GREAT JOB! Fantastic performance by Rahsaan Langley Project. We went lite this evening on our meal (Caesar salad with Chicken, sorry no pics of our food), but it was very good. Wife had the lemon drop; I had the unfashioned; drinks were spot on! We will definitely be back!
