Food could have been a bit better. I ordered the beef Chimichanga and was given the chicken, wouldn’t have been bad but the chicken had very little flavor. Atmosphere was nice, good selection of draft beer.

I went here with my son and his family. The food was delicious. They brought us samples of all their sauces so we could pick the ones we liked best. The service was above and beyond. To top it all off the prices are good.

Dad and I both ordered flat enchiladas, ground beef and cheese. I got both red and green sauce (Christmas style) dad got red.
Next time, ill order red. Its spicey but so flavorful!!! We will return, OFTEN! Vanessa, our waitress was.good, quick, attentive and had a sense of humor.

We’re not sure how Goyitas is New Mexican other than adding some green chile to some stuff. It’s pretty Mexican, and mediocre at that. Guacamole was basically mashed avocado with some onion and garlic powder (think Costco prepacked style). Shredded beef enchiladas with green sauce (the sauce with beef in it) were decent, with real meat, but overpowering flavor was salt. Rice was fine, beans the same. Flautas with shredded beef were a little better. The red sauces are really spicy. The green sauce with no meat is flavorless. Salsa with chips was not great. Fried ice cream was decent. Sopaipillas were some of the worst we have had. Thank goodness the margaritas were good! Phew.
Plenty of parking. Our server was very friendly. Even so, not planning on a return trip.

We had our lunch group of 17 ladies. Some ladies were early and our waitress was Aaryn. She took our drink orders and then came back for more drink orders and then food orders. For this large of a group, she was the only waitress. She had a system worked out and made very few mistakes with food orders. It wasn’t very busy but the kitchen was a little slow. I had an enchilada and it was great. Just the right amount of sauce and cheese. Beans were very tasty also. Taco salads were tasteless. Many were happy with their food.

SHOUT OUT TO VANESSA, our waitress. Really great experience here. Food was tasty and atmosphere was great. I think this is bar none the best customer service I have had at a restaurant ever. Really enjoyed my time here and will be back.

Lived in Albuquerque for 11 years and really came to love NM cuisine. Usually “New Mexican” means NEW Mexican, so it’s a disappointment. When we came to Sahuarita to visit and found out that there was a NEW New Mexican restaurant, we were thrilled. Although the reviews were mixed and troubling, we approached our visit to Goyitas with the understanding that this was a new restaurant and may have some kinks to work out, but our love of the cuisine trumped the concerns. It was much worse than we could have ever anticipated.

It was lunch time (12:30) on a Friday. As we approached the door, there were taped up signs saying ‘wait to be seated.’ When we entered, there was no hostess/greeter or any indication that there was a place to check in. There is a bar along the left wall that was unfinished, apparently for the lack of liquor license. That was no problem for us, just an observation. The restaurant was pretty big, busy and the tables were spaced very well apart. Three workers were rushing around between tables, and a young man saw us, raised his finger to acknowledge us, as if to say, “just one moment” and then went on about his business. There was one other group waiting, a group of five. After about 15 minutes with no further interaction with anyone, he came and sat them, then eventually sat us as well. And then we waited again for at least 10 minutes before a server took our drink order and brought really, really overcooked, tasteless, unsalted chips and some runny, non-descript salsa.

We were a party of three — one ordered a combo with tacos and enchiladas, one ordered chicken-stuffed sopapillas and I ordered chile rellenos smothered with red chile. The server advised that the red chile sauce was really hot. At least 20 minutes later, the server came back and told us they were out of chile rellenos. I got a menu and ordered pork in red chile sauce. She came back soon after and said they were also out of pork. So I ordered chicken enchiladas smothered in red chile.
When our food was delivered, the stuffed sopapillas were fresh and crispy but the dish itself was extremely disappointing: dry shredded chicken, iceberg lettuce and tomatoes. I’ve had stuffed sopapillas hundreds of times and it’s always smothered with red or green chile, eaten with a knife and fork. These resembled pita pockets, not a hint of the seasonings that make New Mexican cuisine so special.

The taco plate was good. The red chile really was hot (but I loved it!). We ordered sopapillas (they come 3 to an order) for dessert. They were HUGE, crispy and hot.

There is so much potential for this place and I hope the owners are able to scramble to get it together quickly so that the restaurant is successful. I wanted to like it so badly–I want to be able to go again on my next visit to the area, but my review is based on this visit. I will happily update it if things turn around.

This was our first time visiting, and my wife and I were excited to try it since we’re new to Green Valley and she’s from New Mexico. We both ordered chimichangas, listed on the menu at $16.25 and $17.25. The food itself was good, but when we received the check, each plate was charged at $23 and $24.

When I asked about the price difference, the server explained there was an added charge for having sauce on both plates. However, there was very little extra sauce—certainly not enough to justify an additional $6 per plate—and this charge was not mentioned anywhere on the menu.

Our server, Aaryn, was friendly but did not check on us during the meal or refill our drinks. Paying $52 for lunch, especially with just two waters, felt excessive. Be aware of hidden fees if you choose to dine here.

The food is very good – the only restaurant in Southern AZ with true New Mexican cuisine and the staff were great. The atmosphere has changed significantly since they moved from Oro Valley. It seemed more bar- like rather than a family restaurant.

Hello! Again, another first time eating here.. I do want to start off by apologizing. I got to carried away with photos on the menu, and I forgot to take pictures of the food.. haha.. sorry.. but.. let’s get started.

So, the first time eating here went with my husband and my roommate. Let me start with the green and red chili sauces. They are pretty good if you like a bit of kick, do red.. but if you like more flavor, do Green.. I personally prefer flavor over kick, but do love me some kick if it also had great flavor.. I had the enchiladas plate shredded beef, and it wasn’t bad.. the beans here were pretty tasty giving them that.. but the rice for me.. ahh, it was not quite there.. have yet to find a place that has both items to par but one day..

The service was great. Everyone was polite and friendly… I love the way they also remodeled the place great ideas put into it and nice color choices and decor! They even look like they have a private room for bigger parties which is nice and the Bathrooms were clean and decently sized as well, which is a huge plus for me, and the prices were as about as high as any other place for the 3 of us got out around 50-65 bucks give or take.

The chips and salsa.. honestly.. I’m unsure if you all are like myself. I can really enjoy myself with great chips and salsa.. unsure what they use for their chips not to impressed by it and the salsa wish they had a more spicier options and wish it had more flavor.. But all in all, it’s not too bad. I would say try it out.. and if I were to recommend something is that certain items can be a little dry, I would recommend adding that little somethering on the sauces to help make it a bit more appealing when you eat!
