Govinda’s Vegan/Vegetarian Cafe was an absolutely wonderful experience for my family and me.

It wasn’t busy when we arrived, and the host was incredibly kind, gracious, and welcoming. He went above and beyond—helping us try new foods, accommodating our family, and even preparing special entrées just for us. He also brought out fresh, hot, fried flatbread, which my children absolutely loved. The crunchy bread was a hit!

I was genuinely surprised by how delicious the lentil soup was—so flavorful and comforting. As a fully vegan family, it was such a joy to find a vegan/vegetarian buffet like this. The prices were very reasonable, and the portions were generous. We were even sent home with more food than we could finish—and four hours later, we’re still very full.

The dining area is small, but it was clean, welcoming, and smelled wonderful—like incense mixed with incredible food. The restaurant is also part of a temple, and knowing that they feed people experiencing homelessness truly warmed my heart. They sell books, accept donations, and you can also order from the menu if you don’t want the buffet.

Overall, this place is special—great food, kind people, and a beautiful mission. We loved it and will absolutely be back.

A Hidden Gem for Simple, Delicious Vegetarian Food

What a joy it was to find such good, simple vegetarian food in the middle of Las Vegas! This café, located inside an ISKCON temple, serves wholesome, home-style meals that feel like they were made with genuine care. We ate here twice during our visit, and both times we were greeted with warm smiles and kindness.

The food is uncomplicated, nourishing, and satisfying — with protein-rich options like lentils, chickpeas, and even a tofu stir-fry. Everything tasted fresh and lovingly prepared, just like a home-cooked meal.

A quick note for vegans: while the food is definitely egg-free, it may not always be clearly labeled for dairy, so be sure to ask if you need to avoid milk products.

As is common with temple-affiliated spots, they did offer a spiritual book and gently suggested a donation, but it was done respectfully and without pressure. (It may have been because I’m Indian and they recognized that.)

Overall, I’d absolutely recommend this place — not just for the food, but for the peaceful, welcoming atmosphere as well.

Govinda’s cafe is in the same campus as Iskon temple in Las Vegas. While the food they made was warm, fresh, pure vegetarian and tasty, we found that there were discrepancies between what they advertised on their website vs. what they offered. When we said we came there under the impression of what’s published on the website, they didn’t show much consideration. They only had buffet option and it was priced at $17.99 per adult which is reasonable for Vegas. But since we weren’t buffet level hungry, we asked them to pack a plate for us. But then despite having an empty restaurant, they didn’t allow us to sit and eat there which felt a bit out of line with the religious place vibe which is expected to be that of service to people. So I recommend their food highly but rate their attitude a bit below expectations specially for being a temple. Also pay attention to the timing as they open on till 2:00 pm and the. Reopen at 5:00pm.

Food was ok, not too exciting. We had to wait for 5 to 10mins for someone to show up and take our order. Ordered thali, and Salad was missing in 2 of 4 thali’s. Water is not provided as part of meal. Thali includes roti, rice, 2 sabjis, dessert, pakoda and a glass of juice. Food was tasteless, it was bland without salt/spice.

What a lovely hidden gem this was!
It is located in a temple! It was quaint, quiet.
The food is fresh, simple and nourishing.
My husband , myself and my little toddler daughter stopped in for lunch everything tasted great and I felt comfort in knowing that myself, my husband and my daughter could eat everything, and that there wasn’t any meat products. The staff was also very friendly and inviting I felt like was at home.
This is a very beautiful and inviting place to eat for vegans/vegetarians and meat eaters alike. I will most definitely be back!
