Food was ok, I got the steak tips with the Spanish onions. The steak tips were pretty small, and a little over cooked. The Mashed w/ gravy had almost no flavor to it, very plain. Ive tasted saw dust with more flavor than these. Prices are fair for the portion size you get.

We were served and treated unfairly compared to other tables and people. Put us on a far away corner table and made us wait for long time. We asked for hot sauce, never arrived to our table. Other than that, their blueberry pancake was good but I will not visit here again. Not a good people.

We stopped by Governor’s on a Tuesday evening and were seated almost immediately! Our service was very good, and our food was also very good. Very home style and heavy in your stomach. The facility is clean with plenty of parking, and reasonably priced for the area.

Fast, Friendly Servers. Wide Variety of Good Ole Home Cooking which is Delicious! I had the Pot Roast which was tender, moist, served in a bowl with delicious Broth. Mashed Potatoes/gravy was average, Cole slaw was very good. They also serve Real Milkshakes (I had a Chocolate & very tasty). Next time I’m going to get their Hot Fudge Bourbon Shake and LemonBerry Cake Slice!

We went to this restaurant on our recent trip to Maine and loved the food. We ordered a lobster roll, chicken pot pie, two types of salads, fried cheese curds and the entrees come with sides as well. We ended with blueberry pie for dessert and it was delicious just like the other dishes. Service was friendly but a bit slow.

Stopped here on the way to Bar Harbor and our expectations were exceeded. First thing I noticed driving up was that this used to be a Friendly’s, which was pretty nostalgic for me. The restaurant has a warm atmosphere. The service was great and the food was outstanding! You won’t be disappointed in the Maple boneless wings, they were hot and crispy! We were too full for dessert but they had plenty of options that all looked yummy. Would definitely return!

This visit was strike three. I visit the Bangor and Old Town locations frequently enough to have reasonable expectations IMO. This is the second time I have waited over 40 min for food (with 10 or less people in the restaurant) and then received cold food at this Ellsworth location. This time it was one of the cheeseburgers on special. I asked my server to package it up to go (after 40min with 8 people in the restaurant who including me), then it was magically ready right then. Perhaps it died in the window while she conversed with the elderly couple, perhaps not, I’ll never know. She did apologize and offer to warm the cold burger, I said no thanks. I had already sat for over 40min. She then informed me this is what happens when you order lunch at the end of the breakfast service. (I ordered at 1056 and asked to have it packaged to go at 1135) Lunchtime starts at 11am. I know in other locations, I have never had this problem. I probably won’t be wasting my time at this location again. I expect the cafeteria style food, but the kitchen and servers need to get on the same wavelength!

Great food and service. The waitress was wonderful and pleasant even though we were in late as we traveled from the national park so we did not have a good plan to eat. We were very happy to have large portions and some of the best iced tea I’ve had. Was a great stop for tasty food. I would really recommend it for any meal.

We stopped in here for lunch today with my grandchildren and my children.
The food was very good
The waitress is friendly and was working hard to keep our glasses full.
She let my granddaughter use her pens to color for picture on the child’s menu which was very nice of her would definitely come back again
