Pappa Zack’s is open, but you order and dine on the burgers within the attached Napoli Italian restaurant.
The only reason I’m giving five stars is because the burger tastes were great. I found myself cleaning the little remnants off the plate after I was stuffed beyond reason. Come hungry.
First, the beef. It was nicely seasoned and had a nice char on it. Then the toppers (lettuce, tomato and a sauce I didn’t notice because I was eating too fast, but it wasn’t ketchup and not regular mayo) were delicious Finally, the bun. I’m not a gourmet, but this was a simple fresh white bun done right.
My only issue with the burger was that one of the cut halves had a greasy bottom bun, so I had to eat it with a knife and fork. So this was not lean beef, which probably helped the taste. However, such rich burgers are not everyone’s choice.
Fries come as a standard side, and I didn’t ask for ketchup and it wasn’t offered by the waitress who’s used to serving pizzas, pasta and calzones, not burgers. That’s not worth loss of a star from me, but my wife would have insisted on ketchup, had she been with me
They should offer a printed burger menu with prices, so I could be a wiser consumer.
By the way, the Napoli Italian restaurant is on the small side, and it was jam packed, with a party occupying the whole main dining room. Still, service was quick.
