Sweet and chic little restaurant! The service was excellent. Cafe meets fine dining. Food, so lovely. Hand crafted dishes with fresh ingredients. Each bite was a layered experience of bliss.
I enjoyed everything we ate- the artichoke dip with pita bread, the soup of the day, the sirloin sliders…… and the apricot tea.. refreshing!!
The happy birthday was thoughtful, though I wasn’t feeling the ice cream trio. Fresh flavors, just not for my taste.
I look forward to our next meal here and trying other desserts as well.

Visited Gourmet and Company to celebrate my birthday with work friends. The food was so good we couldn’t wait to eat. No pictures taken, tuna melt was a huge hit along with the truffle fries and the spinach/artichoke dip. We loved everything with ate and to drink, you can never go wrong with their apricot tea.

GREAT fine dining experience in JC. Our waitress was Lauren and she was wonderful! Drinks were excellent as well. Portions were small compared to other restaurants in the area, but the flavor makes up for it. The dessert was actually my favorite! Give this place a try if you haven’t already.

Such a wonderful experience! This place has been around for years, with good reason. The service was great, food was delicious…the mountcastle croissant with truffle fries was incredibly delicious and the desserts were amazing, especially the peach creme brulee with blueberry whipped cream and pistachio brittle. The bananas foster was a close second. I can’t wait to go back!

Above average pricing in a standard dinner atmosphere. I ordered the filet. It was served stacked in a heap with a blackish smear on the side. My steak was under cooked and had little seasoning. Meh. The broccoli was served some almost raw and other florets black. It was loaded with mushrooms which I asked them to leave off my plate. The mashed potatoes were bland but creamy and smooth. I used my ranch dressing from the mostly leafy (which I do not like) salad to give the spuds some flavor. Unfortunately, the steak bled into a large portion of them which left a pink sludge. That was pretty unappetizing! I did not find the dark brown smear on the plate appetizing either. I did bravely sample it and it tasted like a reduced vinegar of some type (maybe balsamic). Either way it didn’t add anything special to the dish. I read reviews about the artisan bread. How do you get it? I was never offered any. Dessert was supposed to be a buttermilk pie. Ok. To stay kind I will just say it wasn’t. There was some VERY sweet, greenish mush I believe they advertised as paw paw which is usually yellow.’it was incorporated in there so I just didn’t eat it. I don’t even think the crust was home made. I hope I caught them on an off night. It is nice to have a place with table cloths here in our small town. I doubt that I would return for a meal here soon but maybe later on I will try them again. Honestly, if I go back and get the same bland food that would be IT for me. Why go out if I can do better here at home? The server was nice but didn’t know much about the food. A “miss” on all counts. To each his own though.

I love gourmet. This is my fave restaurant in town. The market salad with their ranch is SOOOO GOOD! I really don’t know how their food is so tasty. I dream about their parm fries too. This place has never let me down. Their apricot tea is delicious.

We treated our parents to an Anniversary dinner tonight. This was so wonderful!
I called for reservations, preordered everything for them with wonderful assistance in selecting the perfect combination for them. They even accepted delivery of flowers and had them on the table for their arrival.
My parents were treated so well by all and they raved about the food and service.

The wife and I went in for drinks and appetizers before going to an event. The drinks were excellent, the bar tenders were amazing and the food was the highlight of our entire evening.
We will be going back for a proper date night to experience the entrees, as well. A must try is the ice cream. The three flavors is a lot to eat but worth having a variety!
