Had a really really good experience here. I went there for my birthday. P.S you guys should do something for people’s birthdays lol. We just wanted a bunch of sweets and boy did we go big LOL. Our server I think was named Aiden or similar had black curly hair, was absolutely fantastic. My biggest complaint is you guys really need to do some kind of sauces with your bread. Puddings. That’s how I’m used to eating them. I don’t know if maybe I’m wrong and that it’s not traditional but my experience working at restaurants is you always had some kind of sauce to go on top. He did put caramel and chocolate syrup but that’s the same. I was really craving tiramisu and yours is more like a cake. I know it says that but would have loved to had a place like yours make a traditional tiramisu. That’s what I went there for. It was on your website but I didn’t realize it was more of a tiramisu inspired cake.

We came in mainly for the desserts. Once we were there, I saw several signs that said “Try today,” but when I ordered it, they told me they don’t sell that item.

Later, for dessert, I ordered a brownie, but when they brought it, it was cold, like it had come straight from the fridge. I’m not sure if that’s their standard, but it was very hard to cut with a fork and felt more like a hard cookie.

The only really good thing was the kindness of our waitress, Susy. She was very friendly and explained that they don’t sell that drink there and apologized with a smile.

Gourmandise is always a wonderful experience. The prices are appropriate for the quality of food. The atmosphere is wonderful, the food is incredible, and I always enjoy the menu items we select. We came in for Sunday brunch, and the place was fairly crowded, but we were able to be seated immediately. This morning I opted for a favorite, the Eggs Benedict on polenta, my son got the waffles, and my husband got a breakfast croissant. The drinks were just right, and the food came quickly and was delicious. I’ve been going to Gourmandise for many many years, (my dad introduced me to the one up in Salt Lake City a long time ago). So glad that there is one a bit closer to me now here in American Fork! Continues to be one of our favorite spots! See you next time!

A friend recommended Gourmandise, so I stopped by on a beautiful morning—and it did not disappoint! The staff was super friendly and took the time to introduce their pastries to me. I tried the raspberry spiral croissant, and it was so good! Flaky, flavorful, and definitely worth coming back for. I was lucky enough to find a parking spot right in front of the store. You can tell it’s a popular spot just by looking at how busy the parking lot gets.

This was my first experience at Gourmandise. I was looking forward to it since it had received high praise from some family members. It sadly did not live up to expectation and I will be hesitant to return in the future.

A few things were great. Leah, our server, was super kind, attentive, and helpful. The crème brûle was delicious, as was the butternut squash pasta dish. I could eat the sauce from that pasta dish every day.

Some of the other food in our group was subpar. The salmon wrapped in a puff pastry was kind of dry, the fries weren’t top notch, but nothing too drastically bad.

The atmosphere however was not very enjoyable. There was so much noise from all tables (it was packed that evening, it was a Tuesday night 12/30/25) that we could hardly hear each other. One or two other guests were specifically incredibly loud, although the entire restaurant had a very high noise level.

I know the restaurant can’t control the behavior of customers or volume of talking. However, when one notably and very disrespectful customer came in and sat at the table next to us, he yelled multiple comments that were out-of-social-norms and definitely not quiet like “waiter, get me my food,” “yeah we’re the best customers in here,” and “you better get me my food or I’m not tipping you.” I’m hoping he was joking, because he was wearing a missionary tag of the most popular religious denomination in the state of Utah (but still was wearing normal clothes and with another person who wasn’t dressed up?). Normally I’d chalk that up to just being one rude customer that the restaurant has to also deal with along with suffering customers, but ALL FOUR SERVERS (including ours, Leah, who gave him a hug and clearly knew him) that were on the floor that night gathered around him and chatted with him for at least five minutes, leaving tables unattended and encouraging his loud and distractively obnoxious behavior. I included a picture of the waiters talking with him at his table, I took pictures of it because I was so shocked.

Anyway, I know this might be a “that was just your unlucky experience because it was an off night”, but still. One off-putting experience makes me hesitant to return, even though the butternut squash pasta and crème brûle were delicious.

This place has a wonderful atmosphere—it’s clean, calm, and very welcoming. The staff are kind and provide excellent service. The food is absolutely delicious. My husband and I tried several items, and I was honestly impressed by how good everything was. The eggnog cheesecake is heavenly. I also loved the classic croissant and the brisket scone bowl. Today I tried the egg polenta and I really liked it. It’s hard to find great places to eat in Utah, but Gourmandise is now one of my favorites.

Came for dinner this week. The brussel sprout appetizer is a phenomenal choice. The sauces are such a beautiful compliment to the dish and you can have them on the side of whatever else you are ordering. Love the atmosphere and the fresh food.

We came tonight for the first time to treat our family to some pastries. The pastries are all beautiful although the taste is just meh. The biggest letdown was the staff. We stood at the counter and locked eyes with 5 employees and NONE of them acknowledged us. Not even a simple “ hi please give us a moment” the woman that did help us looked put out and slightly annoyed. The decor and pastries fit the neighborhood bistro well but the junk service kills the want to ever go back. When we did get home the strawberry napoleon given to us was the one in the case that had looked like it was drop kicked. Save your money and truly treat yourself to 85 degrees in SLC. Phenomenal staff, fair prices and far better pastries

Ordered the avocado toast on gluten free bread and this is what I got. They charged me $1.80 extra for this small one piece of bread. I asked for no tomatoes but then they put no greens on it either. Honestly I would be embarrassed to serve this to someone and it cost $12.60. Super unimpressed. The bacon was cheap thin bacon, seemed like Sam’s Club. Was expecting thicker more qualtiy bacon. The service was fine. Also tried their gluten free cheesecake/chocolate mousse cake, its ok but nothing amazing. Apparently “gluten friendly” means charge you extra for much less food.

Everything was so good! Our waiter didn’t check on us very often and it gets loud in there but the food is amazing! My chicken on my pasta was pretty dry, which is probably my only complaint with the food.
