Our grilled chicken shawarma is all natural without any added hormones. It’s marinated for 24 hours so it’s succulent and flavorful.

Avoid. Food portions are now twice as small. Shift leader “Yu” told me this is how they do things now when salad fillers are left out, except my salads were small too…

I’ve been coming here nearly weekly for the past year, usually getting the schwarma bowls. They used to have generous portions, easily filling the bowl past the brim and into the plastic covering. Today, I ordered delivery of the same bowl I’ve been buying for the past year, and on receiving. I first thought the driver had eaten half of my food, but it had no evidence of tampering. I quickly took pictures, and then called the restaurant to ask for a supervisor. Someone named “Yu” came on the phone to inform me no supervisors were there, and then after I’d asked why the portions were dramatically less, he said the owner had told him to only put one scoop of protein into the bowl when salads couldn’t be used as fillers. The problem.is, I DID order couscous couscous salad, and that was twice as small, and I also ordered hummus, and that was twice as small. So it wasn’t just the chicken protein serving that was small. They had literally shrank every part of the bowl, to the point where I wouldn’t have paid 18 bucks (23 dollars to have it delivered) had I known they were now shrinking portions sizes.

Gotta Eatta Pita in Pleasant Hill is a fantastic spot for fresh, delicious Mediterranean food. Located in the heart of Pleasant Hill downtown, it’s a convenient and inviting place to grab a quick yet satisfying meal.

Their pita sandwiches and bowls are packed with flavorful, high-quality ingredients, and the variety of fresh salads and toppings make every bite amazing. The falafel is crispy and well-seasoned, the chicken is juicy and tender, and the hummus is incredibly smooth and creamy. Portions are generous, making it a great value for the price.

Beyond the food, the restaurant is clean, the service is friendly, and the ordering process is quick and efficient—perfect for a casual lunch or dinner. Whether you’re a fan of Mediterranean cuisine or just looking for a healthier fast-casual option, Gotta Eatta Pita is a must-try!

Increasingly smaller portions – Looks like this place has gone the way of so many early success restaurants who built their model on generous portion sizes, only to get greedy about profit margins and start sacrificing the thing that made them popular in the first place.

I’ve been coming here for awhile, once touting this place for the amount of food you could get for your money. They used to give you a lot of protein, but now it looks skimpy, and not very exciting. Sadly. I’ll be switching to other local restaurants.

Ordered 2 bowls, 1 falafel and 1 chicken. Customer service is great but the food isn’t. Small portions for that price. $20 for 6 pieces of tiny hard falafel and rest is flavorless hummus and veggies. Sauces are ok, nothing special. Fountain drinks were not carbonated and looked unsanitary.

I ordered the chicken bowl. Food was good. Nice portion size. I just didn’t like that it’s a Mediterranean restaurant and you have to pay extra for things like red peppers or feta. It’s literally called Gotta Eatta Pita… Why is a pita extra? I probably will eat again though.

The portion size was great, and the staff were friendly. It’s also nice to have plenty of veggies included. However, the food felt a bit lacking in flavor- seems like it could use a little bit more seasoning. I would recommend adding a bit of salt to taste.

Love this place. Great food, great taste, and enough food to take care of anyone’s appetite. Wonderful to eat outside to enjoy the day.

I used to really look forward to treating myself to a meal here, but my last experience was very disappointing. The prices have gone up and the food quality has gone down. My chicken bowl was quite tasteless, but I had paid $20 for it (including one pita), so I was determined to eat it. I discovered too late that a lot of the lettuce they had put on the bottom was slimy and old, and then I felt ill for having eaten it. Gross!
For that price, I might as well go to Urban Plates, and get something fresh and tasty.
