Delicious food, we ordered lobsters with ginger and spring onions served on fried noodles, Peking duck and pancakes, crab claws, sizzling fillets steak with Cantonese sauce, choi sum.
Great service, friendly staffs.

Wow!! Me and my partner came here for a meal for my birthday and it was the BEST chinese restaurant we have ever been to. The service was 10/10, everyone was super lovely, attentive and welcoming. The food was also amazing, I’m quite a picky eater and we ordered an array of food and I loved everything. We will definitely be returning! Thank you for a lovely night!

Got takeaway of 2 mains, noodles, and starter was £45. We know this is an expensive takeaway but usually we enjoy it. Typically we get the prawn toast which is great, but I fancied chicken satay skewers for starter. Genuinely the worse chicken satay I’ve ever eaten. The sauce tasted like chicken gravy and we honestly wondered if we had the wrong thing sent. The chicken skewers were the same chicken they use for every main with green pepper in between pieces of deep fried chicken?! Never seen it served like this and was genuinely awful, and £9 for 3 skewers!! The mains were good but portions not enormous for price. Noodles are always good but felt quite oily this time. The menu is so varied with quality, some dishes are good, some are near inedible. Think this will be the last time we order from Gosforth Palace.

beautiful restaurant but very expensive, £4 for a bottle of coke… insane prices compared to other chinese restaurants in the area. service was really good and decor was beautiful. unfortunately me and another family member had really upset stomach after eating the same dish, later i checked and the food hygiene score was only 3. think i’ll stick to chinatown.

Went in for a takeaway and unfortunately very poor food. Went for the three course for £18 and the soup was nice but the prawn toast was so oily I am not too sure how anyone could eat that. To be fair it did have a generous amount of prawns on it but sadly they got thrown as it’s not health. My main disappointment was the main course… the boiled rice was still raw and the honey chilli chicken was literally a chicken breast deep fried and a pot of sweet chilli sauce. Not a veg or a wee bit of health to be seen. I am so disappointed as it used to be somewhere we went regularly but not again. Think there needs to be some serious improvements before you loose the customers.

Interior is modern and comfortable with good use of celling hanging semi transparent dividers to increase a feeling of privacy whilst still being in the nice bustling atmosphere of a restaurant full of happy customers.
Staff were very quick and very attentive at all times. All good was of a high quality without having to hide everything in over powering sauces. High quality meat and will be back if I’m in the area.

The place itself is beautiful, and the people are so kind. I got a mapo tofu, one of my favorite dishes typically but it was super slimey, and the meat was very low quality. And above all it was incredibly expensive. A meal like that should normally cost £13 tops with rice included. It was £18 for a very mediocre food that I didn’t even like.
