Went in for their £30 menu today. Amazing value, so much food and so tasty. (Starter, main, side, rice and pudding!) Service was brilliant. Our group felt really looked after

The chicken Tom Kha is the nicest thing I’ve ever eaten. We always order that and the Red Thai curry with sticky rice. We had the ribs and the spring rolls today, too and it was all delicious. Really authentic Thai food. Never disappoints.

I was a Thai caterer for 20 years and I must say this is the best Thai food I have ever had outside of Thailand.
Totally 100% authentic.
I had the Som Tam with chicken sticky rice. Spot on and highly recommended.
Family also had fab curry & Pad Thai

Woeful attempt of a Thai green curry, when this place first opened it was complex and full of flavour. What I just had was a watered down curry, no taste. You can go to a Thai shop on staple hill, buy the paste and get something with more depth then this… What happened?

Very impressed with my thai green curry, absolutely delicious. One of the best takeaway Thai I’ve had in a very long time. I’ll definitely be ordering again.

Oh my god, we just had pad Thai and massaman curry. So flipping delicious! The best takeaway that I’ve had in years. Ordered direct from Gorilla Thai on the phone then went and picked up our order. They were dead helpful and nice, food was out of this world. Will be back!

EDIT: we gave this place one more try and good lord it’s honestly the worst Thai I have ever had in my life. See attached video! About 2cm of oil over the top, completely separated, sauce was like water. Honestly horrendous. Really don’t understand the good reviews. 2 out of 2 failures!
The prawn massaman was delicious but the sticky rice was quite literally inedible. Like I actually couldn’t get my teeth through it, you’d need a hammer and chisel to get some pieces off to eat and even then you’d likely lose a tooth. Not quite sure what happened there!? The spring roll was also very greasy and had mainly mushrooms in.

Gorilla Thai used to be our favourite restaurant to order from. Unfortunately the prices have now gone up, and the portion sizes and food quality have massively gone down. We ordered a parang curry and pad thai both with the rump steak last night, and we both ended up being very very sick. The steak was tough and seemed to be old. The picture I posted is the portion size of a 500ml, I paid £16.50 for that. Would no longer recommend Gorilla Thai sadly, avoid this restaurant if you don’t want to get sick.
