The Menu: Creative & Fresh
The menu is expansive, but the specialty rolls are the true stars.
The Gorilla Roll: A powerhouse of flavor that lives up to the restaurant’s name.
Popcorn Lobster & Baked Green Mussels: These are essential appetizers that come out hot, crispy, and perfectly seasoned.
Fresh Nigiri: Unlike many budget AYCE spots, the fish-to-rice ratio here is excellent, featuring generous cuts of Salmon, Yellowtail, and Escolar.
Vibe & Value
The atmosphere is “unapologetically cool”—expect dim lighting, neon accents, and upbeat music that makes it feel more like a lounge than a traditional sushi bar. It is the perfect venue for a pre-game dinner or a late-night feast.
Pricing: The AYCE is incredibly competitive, usually hovering around $22–$30 depending on the time of day, making it one of the best values for sushi lovers in the city.
Service: The staff is known for being fast and “on it,” which is critical for an AYCE experience where you want your next round of rolls to arrive before you’re too full.
Quick Tip: They often have great happy hour drink specials to pair with your rolls. It’s a popular spot, so putting your name on the Yelp Waitlist before you leave the house is a pro move.
The ambiance is casual, sports bar with a few booths. We ordered the Call 911 roll, the Kiss of Fire, the Spicy salmon roll, the Takoyaki, the Unagi sushi and
a Hot sake. We love spicy food so a lot of our decision-making was based on the number of spice stars next to the rolls. The Call 911, which had 5 spice stars next to it and was recommended by the server as their hottest, was nowhere close to being spicy. In fact, the Kiss of Fire, which had 3 stars, had more of a kick. The server ended up getting us some spicy Korean sauce to heat things up. The rolls overall were ok. Same thing with the spicy salmon roll. It was fine. Nothing to write home about.
The Takoyaki and the Unagi were just disappointing. Unlike the usual Takoyaki, these were half balls instead of full balls. They also didn’t have the bonito flakes and the octopus was more pureed than diced. The Unagi looked nicer than it tasted. Instead of tasting the rice and the eel as a combination, it amalgamated into one melted bite, which wasn’t as fun. The sake was fine.
All in all, this was a very average dining experience and we will look for alternatives when we come back to Vegas next time.
My favorite menu item is definitely the gorilla ramen, if you live nearby it’s a solid deal non AYCE item (comparable to ramen places in taste)
