After hearing there was a restaurant in Prospect which serves American and Indian cuisine I could hardly wait to try it. Arriving for an early lunch on a Saturday I was greeted warmly. The menu showed one of my favorite dishes, Tandoori chicken! I got a half serving and ordered Roti (flatbread), Raiti (a yogurt sauce), and Chai.
Without a doubt the Tandoori chicken was the best I have ever had: tender, spiced perfectly and presented with authenticity on a sizzling platter. A nice big Roti was served warm and perfectly cooked to hold the chicken and the scrumptious, authentic Raiti. But wait……the Chai!! Oh my gosh! The best ever!
All was worth the wait as the chef prepared each item with great care and served respectfully, “Enjoy your food.” Luckily I am only about 20 minutes away do this means my favorite new spot!!!

Theresa has done an outstanding job with the Gorge Restaurant. The food was delicious with large portions and prompt table service.
The Restaurant is extremely clean and well organized with a self-service coffee island that was nicely decorated with fresh flowers.
The prices are resonable and the food is tasty, so go early to get a nice seat. The locals are frequenting the restaurant daily now, which clearly sends a message about the true dining value of this establishment.
Give this fresh new restaurant a try. You will enjoy a wonderful breakfast in the Prospect area.

Walked in and immediately was greeted with warmth and friendliness. Both of the ladies there were on it as far as service goes! I’ve gone to fancier places and have gotten worse food and even worse service, but this place was such a breath of fresh air. Simple breakfast menu. Everything was so yummy and cooked in a reasonable time. We even went back the next day because we loved the service so much. Thank you!!

I used to like to stop in here and grab a burger and drinks with my girlfriend. The main lady working was always nice and the feel of the place was fun. Not so much anymore. Last time we were in, a different lady was working who was not as friendly. She said they didn’t have food that day which is fine, if she didn’t eat an elaborate salad she made herself right after that. Old drunks from the park behind the place making comments about my dog in the car, me, my girlfriend, etc. Not wanting to beat another person in front of my girlfriend we left after a few drinks. All of the tough guys had left to go smoke weed (or whatever) prior to us leaving but they were coming back. The old drunks were loudly doing all of this while buying next to nothing and the bar lady (stretching the term) didn’t say a word. If you can’t see the value in treating decent people right, that pay good money, then I don’t see the value in stopping in again.

An experience to remember. Very atmospheric local place as you can only expect in the middle of nowhere where my phone had no reception. I was on my way from Bend to Medford and got hungry. Surprisingly good mushroom Swiss burger with potato tots. Friendly service. When I was there one of the regulars hit a jack pot and bought everyone a round of drinks. That’s the spirit!

Always have a good time with the folks in the restaurant and on weekends a band is usually playing in the lounge. The tourists from nearby Lost Creek Lake and those on the way to or from Crater Lake, are always welcome. A very friendly community. I live here now and never will move away.
