I had the Burrito combo and chose carnitas as the meat. The Burrito was hefty and the pork was cooked very well. Definitely cooked without being dry. The green sauce is what really elevated the Burrito. The red sauce has a kick to it so be advised

The owner is an amazing man! I have been coming here since they opened originally! Their food is made fresh daily, picked up from a butcher every morning, and most importantly when there’s leftover food he gives his employees the opportunity to take it home rather than throwing it out. These men are hard-working and are willing to go above and beyond for every single customer as if it was their own family. When a possible mistake was made there was no questioning my character or the authenticity of what I had to say. He was more than willing to refund me my money and even offered to treat myself and my family to dinner as an apology if the mistake was made on their behalf. Anyone that is willing to go that above and beyond for something that might not of even been their mistake has won me over officially! The food does a lot of talking for itself but the amount of love, character, and sense of community that’s put forth at this restaurant is remarkable. Not to mention the authenticity of the food itself! I have never felt so close to home here in Alabama until I ate here.

Gordos Street Tacos in Ardmore was really good. We are food truck fans … especially street tacos. We tried the spicy pork and chicken and both were good. Lots of food for the price and these came with beans and rice. The green sauce was very good, but you had better taste the red sauce before you commit to putting it on your tacos … spicy! They have a nice place to sit with overhead cover. One thing I did miss on these street tacos that is a favorite for us with a few other food trucks is the pickled vegetables because it cuts through the salt a bit (kinda like the cherry on the sundae for a tacos). Great place and we will be back!

When we went there was children/teens working and they were out of some staple items and the presentation was not good but the food was otherwise delicious. Their outside seating area was cute and my step dad assured me that the food consistently and selection and presentation is usually better and he’s been going for years. Even though it didn’t look good this occasion aesthetically, it was extremely delicious and I would return. The kids didn’t really seem to know how to properly prepare the dishes but they really tried their best and the food was delicious and they were really nice. Practice makes perfect and despite what I was looking at, I ate every single bite and was happy with my purchases anyway. Honestly I recommend this place and would happily order from there again.

This is a hidden gem in Ardmore. It is by far the best Mexican food I’ve had since leaving my home in south Florida. Absolutely delicious!! It’s a food truck experience, so keep that in mind if you intend on eating on site. There is some limited, covered outdoor seating available. You can also call ahead and get to-go and eat it wherever you like.
