I ordered my daughter’s 1st birthday cake at Gordo’s. Brought them a picture of what I wanted and the cake they made was even more perfect than the picture!! And absolutely delicious. Everyone at her party kept asking where I got the cake from because it was so good. They have many different cake size options, which is what brought me to them in the first place. I will definitely be coming back for any cake orders in the future

This bakery is seriously one of my favorites. Their cakes are always fresh, beautifully decorated, and actually taste as good as they look — moist, flavorful, and never overly sweet. You can tell they put real care into everything they make.
What really makes them stand out are the Oaxacan-inspired breads and desserts. It’s not the same basic selection you see everywhere else — there’s so much flavor and tradition in what they offer. Every visit feels like discovering something new. It’s a true neighborhood gem with authentic recipes and a lot of heart behind the counter.

Gordo’s Bakery is hands down one of the best bakeries in Chattanooga! Everything tastes fresh, authentic, and made with love. The selection is amazing — from traditional pastries to custom cakes and tres leches that are absolutely perfect.
The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and you can tell it’s a family-owned business that truly cares about quality and their customers. The prices are very reasonable for the portion sizes and flavor you get. Will always support this business!

I really love this family bakery. Their cakes are always fresh, moist, and full of flavor, and the conchas are soft with the perfect sweet topping. They also have a great assortment of Oaxacan desserts and breads that you don’t find everywhere, which makes it even more special.

This bakery is truly the best in the Chattanooga/East Ridge area! The bread is always incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious, and their cakes are amazing. Liz is so talented with her fondant work—she makes every cake look stunning for any occasion, whether it’s a birthday, baby shower, graduation, or anything else.
