Stopped in for a quick glass of wine before Beetlejuice at the Hult. This place was slammed busy! The hostess was amazing and said grab a drink at the bar and have a cozy seat anywhere you like in the lobby. While waiting just two minutes to order a glass of bubbly we we asked three times if we were being helped by staff walking by. The bartender was friendly and fast. Nice pour. Comfortable seats next to a fire place. Music was pleasant and not to loud…..very nice.

The space is beautiful and the drinks aren’t watered down so as a ‘tavern’ it seems to check the boxes.
We didn’t require much staff interaction but they were friendly and timely with their service. All of our guests enjoyed their cocktails but we didn’t eat any food so no review there other than not a lot of vegan options available for those who concern themselves with such things.

Gordon Tavern is a great place to eat and / or have a cocktail. Friendly staff, festive atmosphere and excellent food and cocktails. It is an open environment and not overly intimate if that is what you are seeking, but fun and great for groups (we had 4 in our party). Close to the Hult and easy parking close by. It was our 2nd time and we will absolutely go back!

We previously had a less-than-ideal experience at one of Urban Restaurant Group’s Portland-area restaurants, which has since closed. In an effort to make amends, the Director of Hospitality graciously provided us with a gift card to use at any Urban Restaurant Group location of our choosing. As Eugene locals who had not yet visited Gordon Tavern, we decided to give it a try.
From the moment we arrived until the time we departed, both the General Manager and our server were exceptionally welcoming, attentive, and genuinely hospitable. When a booth became available, they kindly allowed us to move from our table, which we greatly appreciated. Service was impressively prompt, and the food was outstanding—flavorful, well-prepared, and thoroughly enjoyable.
Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we left with a strong sense that the team truly values and prioritizes the quality of their guests’ experiences.

My experience at Gordon Tavern was Great! We sat at the bar, where Dave was primarily serving us and he was excellent. Attentive, personable, and efficient; exactly what you’d hope for when grabbing food and drinks at the bar! There was another gentleman assisting as well, and while I didn’t catch his name, he was also friendly and helpful.
We ordered a pizza, a salad, and a burger. All of which were fresh, flavorful, and reasonably priced. If you go during Happy Hour, even better! great value for the quality you get.
As for drinks, I went with the Kentucky Buck as my cocktail of choice and really enjoyed it. Well-balanced and refreshing. Next time, I plan on exploring their draft beer selection, which looked impressive.
This was my first visit, but definitely not my last. Great service, tasty food, and a relaxed atmosphere highly recommend!

Our group of about 20 people rented out The Vintage Room for a company staff holiday party, and we had a fantastic time! Our event coordinator, Shayla made the process of getting everything planned a seamless experience. The decor, food and service were all amazing. Our server, Stacey had us feeling at home and made sure we had everything we needed at all times. All of our drinks, apps and entrees came out in a timely fashion and tasted great. We will definitely be back!

Had dinner and breakfast here while staying at the hotel. Dinner was good – pizzas, pastas, fish, salads, and burgers were a few of the dishes our table had. All good and fresh. Service was mostly attentive with a few slips.
Breakfast was OK. My eggs were not cooked as requested (they were very undercooked), and the avocado toast was not well-executed (browning, sour taste). The waiter took it away at the end of the meal without comment and charged us for the dish. Perhaps 3% of the food on the plate was eaten. That was very disappointing. I went somewhere else and paid for another breakfast. The rest of my family thought their breakfasts were much better, though.

To start, as we were waiting to be seated, I was at the hostess stand looking at the bourbon list. I was approached by someone ( not the hostess) and she abruptly asked “can I help you??? I hit me as being a little course. The saving grace was the hostess and our waiter. They both were very nice and polite. Next, the area we were seated at seem okay with one exception……there was what appeared to be food splattered on the wall. Then came the food. I ordered the fillet w the garlic shrimp. The steak was over cooked and the cut didn’t seem to be of a very good quality. The waiter along with the manager where quick to remedy the situation .And that was greatly appreciated. Overall however given everything it was disappointing. Given the reputation of the hotel and tavern/restaurant. It definitely wasn’t worth the money spent and afterwards I had hoped we had gone somewhere else.

We went to dinner later then we ever do dinner and it was super busy but the service was still good and the food was great! We loved everything we had! We got the Gorgonzola & Brie with bread and a side of hummus. Our kiddo got a burger and fries, it was super good! I got the salmon it was great and the mashed potato’s were so good! My hubby got the pepperoni pizza and he enjoyed it. We shared the Dulce De Leche cheesecake and it was so good! Best cheesecake I’ve had! Even better then the Cheesecake Factory!
I wish I could remember our servers name, she was working Saturday evening 02/22/25 and has blonde hair in a ponytail, she was great! She did pretty well for how busy they were!

The kitchen was kicking butt , all the food was excellent. Our table had the short ribs, the chicken dinner, Noodles with shrimp , and the salmon dinner. Brussel sprouts were on point. ( very good) they should be on the appetizer menu… Everything was excellent come eat some good food. Keep up the hard work kitchen staff thank you!
