100% Mexican. I ordered 4 gorditas; chicharron, rajas con queso, asado & papas con chorizo. All were good but my favorite was asado and chicharron. I also got a cafe de olla and it tasted like fall in your mouth. I will definitely come back soon!

We stop at Doña Tota whenever we’re heading back home to Fort Worth because the gorditas are always worth it. The masa is fresh, the fillings are seasoned well, and everything tastes homemade. It’s a simple spot, but the food is consistently good and comforting. If you’re looking for authentic gorditas on the go, this is a solid stop.

Delicious homemade Gorditas and tasteful salsas. Great place for breakfast or a quick and yummy bite. We usually always do takeout, on this occasion, they were having a private party in their patio. Service is always great and staff is very friendly. I believe they added a dessert place as you enter. I was rushing so will have to return to try!

The food was very good, but it took a long time for the order to come out. I know that everything is made to order, but the restaurant was not packed and 27 minutes for an order is a bit excessive. Also, the music is way too loud; its a restaurant not a nightclub.

I regret passing by this place for so many years wondering if that place is any good. Well…It’s so good. We got a variety of Gorditas and every one of them were solid. The only downside is I want to try all of the flavors!

Summary: Staff was disrespectful to my wife for not speaking fluent spanish and openly mocked her and laughed at her.
I’ve loved their food for years, even since before their first US location opened off of San Pedro, I would eat Gorditas Doña Tota when visiting my family in Mexico, and was there multiple times a week at the San Pedro location when they first opened. I would also take all my friends there to show them the light, and also to see them squirm when the salsa verde was too spicy for them lol. Well, I had a craving today as I often do, but I had to do some work at the house so I sent my wife to this location to pick up a pound of carnita en salsa verde and a pound and a half of deshebrada and some sides. When my wife got there, not only were they rude to her at the counter for only speaking broken Spanish, after she managed to complete our order the woman behind the counter mocked her for saying “sopa” when she meant broth (caldo) to a gentleman who was also laughing at my wife. They didn’t even bother to try to hide mocking her and did so openly. Now I can’t eat there because they insulted my wife. So my wife is very upset that she was insulted, I’m very upset that she’s insulted, AND I’m also very upset that I can’t have their delicious food anymore and will have to go to a much further location for my carnitas en salsa verde. Thanks alot, lady, you ruined it for both of us. Didn’t get her name, unfortunately. But you definitely shouldn’t mock others for not knowing Spanish. That’s a good way to alienate non-spanish speaking customers (who also spend money). Deeply disappointed at this location. You’ve upset my darling wife, AND cost me delicious gorditas. My wife did her best, and was doing me a favor. She didn’t deserve to be treated like that.

Very good, very authentic. They do speak English here with no problem, so don’t be intimidated by the authenticity. Lots of varieties of gorditas. You’ll need to try one of each to get a real feel for the ingredients. They have a small salsa bar with three types of home made sauces. I will have to change my shirt though, so be prepared that it can get messy if you’re a fast eater. Highly recommended!

Place was nice and clean. My husband wanted chorizo with potatoes and got told they were out by the lady in the front, but then a different staff member (maybe manager) said they can make one more. So that was definitely sweet and well appreciated. We loved the big Vírgencita picture they have displayed at the entrance. Food was great but we weren’t really fans of the dried chicharon (maybe next time we’ll get the chicharron with salsa).
