I do not like doing this but there needs to be an honest review. I used to loooove Gorda Bowls. Unfortunately I’m just gonna have to assume inflation but – for $30 I got a smoothie and a bowl with “double protein”- you get capped on toppings now, totally get it, but for the price it seems to be a little frugal(50¢ more for a garnish of scallions when an entire bunch costs 50¢-make it make sense) The miso Thai peanut sauce also has no flavor. And my bowl was more like a “cup”. In the picture you will see what $30 wil get you at Gorda Bowls. The smoothie was good although no protein add option like before. I get it times change and the store is re-building and hopefully they’ll work this out. The last picture is just to show the amount of food the bowl was still untouched. But I can’t get over paying this much for a half a bowl especially when I asked for double protein. Hope you have a better result. I want to see the place succeed. Please speak up otherwise the silence and lack of feedback will be the silent killer.

So happy they re-opened! The best poki bowls ever! The sushi is always fresh along with toppings. Highly recommend!

FINALLY a place in Punta Gorda that isn’t laden with Seed Oils and cancer causing fake foods.
Gorda Bowls is excellent. The steak, the chicken, the spicy tuna…all spectacular. Very impressed by their selection of ingredients.
They cook using Olive Oil and Beef Tallow.
This is the kind of place PG has been needing for some time.
MAHA!

I’ve gone back and forth about posting this because I’ve always supported Gorda Bowls. But after my recent visit to their new location, I left feeling pretty disappointed.
The quality of the food and portions just don’t feel and sure don’t taste like they used to.
We ordered 2 bowls with double protein and a smoothie, and for nearly $60. I have expected something more filling.
The bowls arw noticeably smaller than before even with double protein. Not so filling.
The miso Thai peanut sauce lacked the bold flavor, that used to be one of my favorite parts. The tofu was not cooked the same AT ALL ,The smoothie was solid, but I also noticed fewer customization options than before. I may be wrong.
I understand costs are rising and businesses have to adjust especially after moving locations. I’m not upset, just disappointed. I really hope this is just part of a transition period and that things balance out soon, because this used to be a go-to spot for me.
Sharing this as constructive feedback, not criticism. I’d love to see them get back to what made so many of us regulars in the first place.

Really sweet place! Server was really nice as well as the bowls were amazing!! It’s cool they let you create your own bowl and add as many things as makes you happy. Got an açaí bowl and the pitaya bowl looked really good as well. Calm and inviting atmosphere as well as great location. There’s plenty of street parking as well as a free parking garage close by.

Fun and fresh food in the heart of downtown Punta Gorda. All the ingredients were fresh and flavorful. There are tons of options to build your perfect poke bowl or açaí bowl. They also offer juice and kombucha.
This was the first poke establishment I’ve seen offer Greek ingredients such as gyro meat, olives, and feta.
The atmosphere is bright and vibrant. A fun twist: they encourage visitors of their restrooms to write on the wall. This, as you can imagine, can make for interesting and entertaining reading.

We were so impressed with Gorda Bowls. The service was great as they explained the process and their food options to us. We each were able to get the exact poke bowl that we wanted due to their large variety of toppings. The food was fresh and delicious. We can’t wait to come back and try new options.

Stingy on the servings. What’s the point of ordering a $16 Poke Bowl with 2 toppings if the bowl is barely filled half way. I told the employee that it was a very small serving and she offered more toppings. Gave me a few more cucumbers and some sprouts to my dismay. Save yourself the cost and trouble, make your own poke bowl at home. Disappointed.
