Proudly serving the Savannah area since 1986, this cozy café fuses the dining ambiance found in Lower Manhattan’s urban Greenwich Village and the Left Bank in Paris. We serve hot and cold breakfast items throughout the day. Go-to breakfast favorites like warm bagels, stuffed butter croissants, and hearty portions of homemade oatmeal with fresh fruit, or our awesome Eggs Benedict. For lunch, enjoy hot soups, signature café sandwiches, and a variety of green salads. Be sure to save room for a serious selection of sweets made from scratch every morning!
Bustling cafe & bakery serves all-day breakfast as well as soups, sandwiches & salads for lunch.

Goose Feathers Café on Bernard Street is one of those simple, unassuming spots that surprises you in all the best ways. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a friendly welcome and a genuine, “Have you been here before?”—a small touch that sets the tone for the whole visit.
You pick up a menu, walk past a display of delicious sweets that immediately test your willpower, and place your order at the counter. Prices are fair, the food is excellent, and the service stays friendly from start to finish.
Once you sit down, they bring your meal right to your table with a smile, using your number so everything arrives fresh and without any confusion. It’s simple, smooth, and exactly how a café experience should feel.
This will absolutely be a go‑to spot for us anytime we’re in Savannah—one of my favorite cities. Great food, great people, and a cozy atmosphere that makes you want to come back.
The staff was very friendly and professional, dining room was well kept and a couple guys were always walking and cleaning. It is a walk up and order then seat yourself, which I like that style.
If you’re in town give them a try
The only reason there’s 4 stars is because my order (the panini) didn’t originally get rang up so we had to do a separate transaction after my husband and daughter finished eating. If they had done a discount it would have been 5 stars (they admitted it was their mistake) just because we didn’t get to eat together.
The women’s bathroom was also out of order, which is fine, but the only one available was dirty and needed to be cleaned probably twice as often. Hopefully the bathroom will be repaired soon because I’m sure that’s inconvenient for the staff as well.
Brooke and Albert set the standard for a great breakfast and the rest of my Sunday. Be like them.
The line out the door is deceiving. There’s only one person taking orders at a time, which wasn’t terribly efficient. There were two staff members with screens in front of them but one was to order and one was to pay. The long line created crowd problems as people had to shift to allow other patrons to exit or to allow waitstaff through.
Seating is first come, first serve AFTER you place your order, so it’s a little stressful, imagining you may be standing around with your tray of food and no place to sit. Stalking other people while they eat to see who looks like they’ll be finishing soon, and worrying about the people in front of you nabbing the table first…not my personal favorite. Glad we weren’t there with our kids.
My husband’s food came out and we sat for a full five minutes before mine came out. After a couple minutes, I insisted he start eating so his food didn’t get cold.
The coffee was just okay, unfortunately. Our side of potatoes had a nice flavor but didn’t have that great textural crisp to them, and the portion was small considering it was a side we had to pay extra for.
My husband got the burrito, which clearly had to be eaten with fork and knife since it’s covered in salsa, but the plate was so small, it was awkward to cut into it without food falling off the plate. He asked for a larger plate, but they didn’t have any. His burrito was decent, but lacked a cohesive element tying the flavors together.
My panini was yum. I really liked the balsamic which was soaked up into the top piece of bread. Perfect amount. Was pleasantly surprised at how well the salami worked with it too.
I’m rooting for you all, and hope these impressions from average patrons are helpful.
