What a fantastic place to grab a drink and some great food! I have been to another Goodwood location and they have both been amazing. Goodwood has some amazing craft beers, really good craft whiskey, and some other top shelf options at their awesome bar. This is a great place to bring the kids, have date night, or go have a drink with friends. The food was great, and they have plenty of options to please everyone. The atmosphere is top tier with a breathtaking view of the Ohio River and The Blue Bridge. The service was top notch. Several members of the staff stopped to check on us including Gage and Chris, and our server Ethan did a wonderful job. I can’t wait to go back and try more of their food!

To be fair, this place has only been open a month, so keep that in mind when reading this. They forgot our appetizer, although we asked about it 3 times. Fifteen minutes after ordering, we were told they were out of something. Tomato was included in my food even though I said no tomatoes. They did give the courtesy of replacing the order and removing it from the bill. We were overcharged on drinks. And out of the four of us, 2 got soggy wet bread. The server seemed as if she was bothered with having to do her job. She was NOT attentive. The tots were amazing, I will say. If we go back to Owensboro, I don’t believe we’ll be revisiting because the whole experience was off. But like I said, they haven’t been open long.

I really want to like this place. It has so much potential. With that said, tonight’s experience was not good. After waiting nearly 15 minutes sitting at the bar, I had to flag the bar back down and ask for help. The first bar tender she asked ignored me and I was finally able to catch the other in front of me after a few minutes sitting patiently. It was like I was putting them out to ask them to serve me.

We were excited to try this new place out, but I was weary of the reviews already received. Should have listened to the reviews. Atmosphere is okay, but the crowd the place draws makes it seem more swanky. Service at the bar was almost none, felt like I was invisible for a good 15 minutes. Our server at the table did a great job. On to the food. The grilled catfish was excellent. Burger was WAY overcooked. Drunken chicken was okay except for it being overcooked and a lot cartilage peices I had to keep pulling out and end up being a huge turn off for the whole meal. We didn’t finish the Drunken Chicken or the Goodwood Burger due to the poor ingredients/cooking. The Pretzel is AMAZING. Fried green tomatoes were okay. Collard greens were way undercooked. I had high hopes of the food being elevated pub food, but was sadly disappointed. They seem to be very understaffed and cooks not trained properly. For anyone thinking of going I would reconsider and spend the amount you’ll spend there elsewhere on good quality food.

The food is amazing!! The fried green tomatoes are delicious!! The service is prompt and friendly!! The bar is stocked with amazing bourbons and spirits! The beers on tap are top notch! I recommend this place highly!!

Larry was a great waiter! Once I ordered my burger, he returned to inform me they were out of fries. At this point I didn’t have any menu in front of me so he called off some sides and he suggested the collard greens – which were fabulous. However, once I received my ticket I was charged almost $3 for the greens… mind you… they did not provide me with the fries which was suppose to be included in my meal…then wanted to charge me for a side… huh?? Asked for an adjustment and wasn’t completely adjusted for the entire side of greens??? Remember.. You shorted me a side that I was paying for in my meal that you were unable to provide and then expected me to pay more money for a side – I wasn’t receiving a second side, I received only one side with my meal since the fries were out of stock.
