Honestly, I’m a bit disappointed I saw this on TikTok. A coworker from Boston told me about this place, but it lacked flavor, identity, soul, and love. I’m still searching for the best barbecue in Rhode Island and haven’t found it yet. To be honest, our barbecue is pretty low grade, and they probably serve better barbecue somewhere else. I say this respectfully because I hope the cook, owner, and waitresses see this and get a chance to improve, not take it as criticism. I ordered the two-meat plate with collard greens and mac & cheese, the sides were phenomenal. I don’t even like sweet collard greens, but this had a hint of sweetness, and it wasn’t bad. The cornbread was also great; I can’t complain about that. When it came to the brisket, I ordered two meats but added an extra side of brisket, and honestly, it lacked identity. It was a bit dry and didn’t have much flavor. The ribs were better than the brisket, I should say. They were okay on their own but even better with sauce. I ended up mixing all three types of sauce they had to create a better flavor.

I’ve eaten here once before and forgot how good the food is here. Located in an odd plaza you can find this diamond in the rough of a restaurant. It’s not a big place by any means, but they can still accommodate plenty of people. The staff are great here. They were super nice and very attentive. They have a great bar, it appealed to me because I’m a whiskey / bourbon guy and they have a great selection here. The menu isn’t big but it packs a punch. Everything on the menu was a delicious as it sounded. I was bummed that they ran out of burnt ends, which is what happened the first time, but what we ordered was great. My fave for the night was the smoked pastrami. The brisket was bomb but something about the pastrami just stood out. The candied bacon and wings were next level. Everything just was flawless that we tried. This was well worth the drive from RI, and can’t wait to come back….again, and again!

I like Goodstuff Smokehouse. I appreciate what they do for the local community as every Thursday is a fundraiser for interested local organizations. The restaurant itself is small but always cleanly and I love how their windows have seasonal paintings on them.

They also sell excellent kettle corn. I highly recommend! My grandma and I went last night but have been here numerous times before. I’ve often found some of their meat to be pretty dry but I do like the meatloaf. That’s exactly what I had last night along with baked potato salad, Mac and cheese, and cornbread. They also make some of their drinks in house as well like the iced tea and root beer.

My meatloaf was great! Nice Smokey flavor and four pieces was a hefty portion. The last two slices had some harder pieces of fat which I needed to take out of my mouth though. The potato salad is always killer- I think they add some sour cream to it to make it tangier. Cornbread is some of the best I’ve ever had- super sweet and cake like. The Mac and cheese was also excellent with great creaminess. Iced tea was sweetened and also very good. I also found the prices to be fair as you do get a lot of food for the price you’re paying for.

Our waitress was very kind and accommodating. We had banana pudding for dessert which was good overall. I prefer the Magnolia Bakery recipe more but appreciated how the nilla wafers were fresh and it had plenty of banana. I would lay off the cool whip in the future though.

Overall, an excellent restaurant who does right by their employees and the community. I love to see it and support whenever I can!

I had the meatloaf that although it had some interesting spices it made it to dry I added some blue cheese dressing it was a little better I was expecting a lot from a bacon-wrapped meatloaf. I like the potato salad with sour cream not mayonnaise I had a Caesar salad that was okay. My daughter had the half rack of ribs which was quite good she thought it had too much brown sugar I thought it was pretty good. She had candied sweet potatoes and she liked it a lot as well as the cucumber salad. Cornbread was okay maybe it would have been better if it was warmer. A friend had the Burger he thought it was okay. We didn’t have dessert I had an orange cream soda I liked. My daughter had Lyme in cranberry juice which she thought was good. The atmosphere was like any bar. It was clean and the staff was very good.

Such a good place for bbq! I love their pulled pork as I am a sauce guy but did not need any…perfectly seasoned. The cornbread is also very tasty. Mac and cheese is creamy. The pastrami tastes more like corned beef but still good. The bar is nice but small and doubles as a wind tunnel when the air is on. Avoid the middle of the bar. Good selection of alcohol too. Everything else waa great! Will be back again!

Been dying to try good stuff smokehouse for quite a while. My daughter-in-law was working in the area and asked if we wanted her to pickup some takeout. We jumped on it and said yes yes yes. Unfortunately it wasn’t as good as we had hoped for. My wife got the brisket plate and it was ok but didn’t really have a ton I flavor and was very dry. She got greens which were excellent and sweet potato which was ok. I got the highly sought after burnt ends. They were not good at all. I know the tip of brisket is the usual for burnt ends and you can expect that thin layer of fat. Well my portion while generous was basically cubes of fat. I’ve had them at other bbq spots and these would rank at the bottom. Sides were Mac n cheese which were ok and the baked beans which looked good but really seemed like they came out of a can. Overall we were very disappointed. Most of Goodstuffs reviews seem solid. But alas I don’t think I’ll be going there again anytime soon. I took a pic of my burnt ends and there is another pic of a tray from another spot & what I was hoping they’d look like.

First time eating here. True barbecue in the area. Portions are very big. We took several plates home. Had the maple old fashion drink special. It was awesome. If you are craving legit BBQ and like bourbon, this is the place to go.

As soon as we got here, we were so nicely received by Alanah (I think). They weren’t sure if the ribs were out but she kindly checked.

I ordered the Meat Combo with the hot link and the ribs, the tallow fries and cucumber salad. The ribs were soft, fatty, sweet, spicy and so delicious they put other smokehouses to dirt. Thehot link was so fat I couldn’t finish it, extremely flavorful and juicy. The cucumber salad was acidic, oniony and the perfect way to cut through the ribs and link. Those tallow fries were crispy, salty, peppery and delicious. I would sell my soul for the ribs. All the food and drinks (the home cream soda) were absolutely superb.

My husband ordered ordered the Rachel 50/50 burger. The patty was FAT, thicc, juicy and the whole burger tasted like heaven.

We will 100% come back. I’m on my way home rolling, the food is so worth traveling over 30 minutes for it.

Goodstuff catered our 185 guest wedding and we had guests who said it was the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding! Everything was so delicious and people could not stop raving about it. Dave made the whole ordering process very simple and executed everything day-of seamlessly. We would highly recommend not only going to their restaurant, but using them to cater any event. 100% worth it.
