We were looking for a stopover spot on our way to the Panhandle. This was a great spot! We were welcomed by the hostess who happily gave us all our options for different tables to dine at, we loved that! Our server, Tyler, walked us through all of our menu options, including getting a specially made cocktail, even though the Thanksgiving special was no longer available. He checked in on us several to make we had all we needed. Our steak was perfectly prepared, and, we were provided a short history of Goodnight by a local. What a great treat for us!!

I came here for a steak while working in the area. I was seated pretty quickly. The server showed up to the table quickly for my drink order and was very friendly. The bread and butter were outstanding – freshly baked. I ordered a 16oz ribeye medium well with garlic mashed potatoes. The steak came out as ordered, and the potatoes were warm and amazing. The steak was tender and was actually a ribeye. The meal was reimbursed as a business expense, but I have to say if I were to return and pay for a meal here from my own pocket, I would not order a ribeye (not fond of the seasonings used – personal preference). For dessert I ordered a chocolate mousse cake and it was delicious. Needless to say I needed two boxes to take food home.

We experienced excellent service with Greg and Nicole and a warm and welcoming environment. We were made to feel like regulars, though it was our first visit.
The food was expertly prepared to order and delivered promptly by our staff, the servings were generously sized and the drinks generously poured. This restaurant has made the list of our favorites and we can’t wait to be back!

We stopped in to this great spot after leaving Abilene headed back home to Sherman area. Great atmosphere, perfect steak cooked perfect, we also had bacon wrapped jalapeños, and a tasty amaretto sour. Great live music, fun place to be on a Saturday night

Made reservations as we were celebrating a birthday! We were taken to our table immediately. It had a lovely lighted balloon for the birthday girl. She received a free dessert and the waitresses sang Happy Birthday to her. Lovely evening! Rosie was our waitress and she helped make the evening very enjoyable. Excellent food too! HIGHLY RECOMMEND for special occasions!

My family and I ate here last Thursday night. We placed a reservation for 6:30 pm. We arrived early and there were plenty of spots to sit. The service from beginning to end was top notch. The Chicken Fry was absolutely amazing. I would venture to say that it was the best I’ve ever had. My wife would agree. The steak was incredibly tender and cooked to perfection. The crust was light and extremely flavorful. Amazing! My daughter had the ribeye. She said it was good, but not the best. I can’t rate for her though. I’ll definitely be back when visiting again. Kudos to the chef/cooks and our server on 8/7!!

Rosie greeted me at the door and gave incredible service throughout the night. The service was top notch and my cup of sweet tea stayed full. After a 14hr day this was the dinner I had earned. Rosie has my respect!

This place was terrific! We were traveling from New Mexico to Ft. Worth and stopped for a bite to eat. Greg and Tyler were great help and down-home friendly. My husband had a chicken fry that covered the plate and was very tender. I had a prime rib sandwich that was delicious. Kept the tea full and we loved the complimentary sliced bread and butter! Such an amazing place in the cutest historical town! I’d love to come back and walk around.

We did not have a reservation, but the hostesses gladly found a spot for me and my two grandkids. Rosie was our server, and she was fantastic. We each had the chicken fried steaks which were great. The portions were big, so we had no room for dessert. As a bonus they had live musicians singing classic country songs. We’ll be back again.
