If you’re in Lexington, this is a must do and must see.

Located in the Distillery District near Old Pepper and Dark Arts — and only about 30 minutes from Buffalo Trace — Goodfellas delivers an experience that’s just as satisfying visually as it is on the plate.

The hand-tossed dough is a show. Every creation pulled and thrown in the air grabs your attention. You can grab a quick slice and a foot-long breadstick with nearly no wait, even when the place is moving. It feels energetic but controlled.

The industrial setting is part of the magic. That old concrete tower inside calls your name, and if you catch the right table near it, you’ve found something special. It’s clean, open, and full of character.

We went on Whiskey Wednesday where the $5 Old Fashioned was the headline. They were using Benchmark Bottled-in-Bond, which makes that special even better. The bar itself is serious. If you like hunting high-end bottles, scan the shelves — we spotted a 1992 Dan Weller listed at $200 an ounce. They also offer creative cocktails like the “Marilyn,” which drinks like an elevated lemon drop with a soft peach finish.

Pizza-wise, we ordered “The Don.” Perfect balance, excellent structure, and classic New York-style execution. Our friends had “The Godfather.” It was good — but The Don wins.

Outside, the authentic wood fire pit adds another layer to the vibe. Sit, relax, and let the evening settle in.

Goodfellas isn’t just pizza. It’s atmosphere. It’s energy. It’s exactly what Lexington should feel like.

I got a make-your-own pizza, and it was totally ok. It really didn’t have a whole lot of flavor, which was a huge bummer after waiting as long as we did. I put all sorts of good stuff on it, so it wasn’t my choices – I know what you’re thinking 🙂 I probably wouldn’t go back; there are lots of other pizza places to try.

This place is amazing! You can buy by the slice or get a whole pie. We walked in as they were pulling a fresh one out of the oven. My husband and I both had a slice of Hawaiian and the pizza was so good we went back for another slice of just cheese but was equally as good! Fresh ingredients and seeing the one guy flipping the dough in the air was the best experience. Great guys working there and you can tell they love what they do. Thank you so much for the amazing pizza!

BEST pizza in Lexington. Quick service, amazing pizza and I love their salad too. The atmosphere is unique and the vibe is something different for everyone but you’ll wanna tell your friends and come back again and again.

My family and I went there after the Halloween parade last night. After waiting in line and finally getting in the restaurant one of the pizza makers had his friends come in and handed them the last of the pepperoni pizza. This wouldn’t have been a problem except this is a very busy night. We waited in line and there was no pizza even close to being done to wait for. Not only did this guy give the pizza away for free he compleatly disregarded the paying customers that waited. This was a tradition we have for years now. I will never return to your establishment. Im sure im not the only customer that is upset about this since there was a line and again no pizza was even close to being done. Have a back up plan if you decide to go there. Clearly they DO NOT CARE about business.

Have been wanting to try Goodfellas ever since I started coming to Lexington annually. I stopped by around 2:00 pm on a Saturday, so there was no wait. I bought two slices; one chicken bacon and one pepperoni. Honestly I found them disappointing. The cheese was overly chewy and rubbery, and both pieces were fairly dry. The chicken bacon aldo didn’t taste particularly fresh. The young lady working the counter was very nice.

My soul is jumping from happiness. I lived in NJ/NY for 21 years and am very accustomed to their pizza. I bought a slice to try before buying a pie and it was *everything* I could ever want. Sweet sauce, perfect amount of grease, thin, awesome size, good crust, and made in a snazzy environment. Big recommend!!!

7 p.m. on a Thursday, short line, no TNL going on. When I got to the counter there was a partial pepperoni and 4 slices left of a cheese pizza, no other choices. I asked the woman if there was any mushroom pizza or any other types. She said she had no idea, it was that busy. She was 4 feet from the oven so I asked if she could peek or ask one of the 5 men working there if there was any other types coming out soon. Another pepperoni came out so I said, okay, let’s just go with a slice of cheese. She reached for a box, I said, no box please, she spun the 4 slices left, which were miss-cut and gave me the smallest, miss-cut slice. I said, “oh, you’re giving me the small one” and she tossed it into the box, walked to the register and said, I don’t like your attitude, I’m finding you very passive aggressive. ??? I went back to get her name after I stood outside to eat the slice…she was gone, sent to the back where she belongs.

Great pizza and personalities! Loved the music and guys singing along as well as the energy of the place.

Gave it 4/5 because the server messed up the order – no biggie as I just had to buy an extra slice.

Love the crust but next time I’ll ask to crisp up the bottom a bit more.

The ideal place to eat if you’re drinking on or across the street. We came over from the Rosebud Bar at the bartender’s rec. The pizza isn’t anything special, but it’s tasty nonetheless and definitely hits the spot when you’re drunk. They sell it by the (very large) slice if you don’t want a whole pie, and the small pies are easily enough for two. I went three times over the course of one night, and each order (Pesto Bread, small Wiseguy, small Pepperoni & Sausage) took 15 minutes. They had a surprising amount of traffic for a Monday – looks to be a locals spot. Very limited seating – two small tables outside, maybe three people’s worth of standing space inside – but the bars on the street that didn’t sell food were A-OK (encouraging, even) with patrons bringing it back to them to eat with a drink. Young, friendly staff, solid time estimations, fair pricing.
