Shrimp Pad Thai – The shrimp is thoroughly cooked enough where you can eat through the shell. The texture of the pad thai noodles were soft, they do stick to one another. This fulfills my Pad Thai craving. They kindly accommodate my request for a slice of lime. A bit of Lime on top of Pad Thai is a delicious combo. This gives me more home cooking vibe – it’s comforting!
All Day Special – Stirfry Chicken – Straight forward in taste. The broccoli and chicken have just the right amount of seasoning and sauce. Plentiful of rice. The vegetable meat egg roll was delicious, could eat many more of this. Was expecting the portion to be a bit larger.
Ambiance: They have some tv running, see picture. Cozy with thai decos all around.
Seating: Plenty, tables can be easily rearranged for larger groups.
Parking: Yes; parking lot, if full park on the street.
Bathroom: Yes; didn’t use it yet
Now, onto the food—everything was absolutely amazing! We ordered Pad Thai with shrimp, chicken noodle soup with added ginger, eggplant stir-fry with beef, and crab fried rice, and each dish was packed with incredible flavor. To top it off, we had mango with sticky rice, which was the perfect sweet and creamy ending to our meal.
The ambiance is just as wonderful as the food! It’s a cute, inviting space with plenty of seating, and I loved the TVs displaying rotating pictures of the menu. The menu itself is also filled with photos of the dishes, which makes ordering so much easier—such a great touch!
If you’re looking for authentic, delicious Thai food served with genuine hospitality in a cozy atmosphere, this is the place to be. I can’t wait to come back!
Our go-tos are the chili and basil with ground chicken, the pad kee mao with fried tofu, the tom yum with chicken, and the chicken satay. We absolutely loved our meal here and will be back.
As long-time customers of Hot Thai, which closed in January of 2024, we are so thrilled that AJ opened a new restaurant. Good Thai Kitchen is a perfect, casual, delicious spot. The service is fantastic, and the food is to die for.
We are so happy our favorite Thai spot is back and better than ever!
The flavors, the flavors, the flavors! They captured the, well balanced, authentic – ness of the dishes. So many Thai spots in L.A. but this non assuming place really hits every time. The Chilli basil chicken (med. Spicey) is so delicious. Not blazing hot, but just right. The Pad thai also very well done. Not smothered in an overly sweet sauce like a loooot of places do nowadays. Same for the mango sticky rice. Nice even sweetness to the rice, not mushy not drenched in sweetness. Listen , they have an ALL DAY $12 specials Menu along with regular menu. The $12 is like the lunch special at other spots abut here it’s ALL DAY. portions are not skimpy. You get a vegetable egg roll and veggie potsticker with the special. The Thai ice tea is big and again not full of sugar. Just perfect. Really awesome service from the staff and the place is always clean. Highly, highly recommended.
– the service was perfect and because the space isn’t huge, they’re attentive and not overly attentive!
– the space itself is perfect to grab a bite but isn’t a fancy date spot; honestly I would go here for a date anyway because of the value and quality!
– The parking lot is semi-limited but you should be able to find a spot whatever day you decide on going! So glad to have driven by and decided to take a chance on this joint. Definitely coming back!
First off, this place is the real deal—it’s family-owned, and I mean actually family-owned. The owner’s parents work there, and you can just feel it when you eat the food. These recipes have been passed down through generations, and honestly, you can taste the difference. This isn’t some corporate chain following a manual—this is grandma’s secret recipe, perfected over decades.
Now let me tell you about the food because WOW.
The crab fried rice was insane. Like, I’ve had fried rice a million times, but this was on another level. Every bite had these chunks of sweet crab meat, and the rice was perfectly cooked—not greasy, not clumpy, just absolute perfection. I could’ve eaten three plates of just this.
We got the chicken wings both ways—with sauce and without—and I’m telling you, get both. The sauced ones are sticky and sweet with a little kick, and the plain ones are so crispy you can hear the crunch from across the table. Both are total winners.
The tom yum soup woke up my entire face in the best way possible. It’s got that perfect sour-spicy thing going on, and the broth is so fragrant and flavorful. If you’re feeling a little under the weather or just want something that makes you feel alive, this is it.
The potstickers were crispy on the bottom, soft on top, and the filling was juicy and packed with flavor. I may have fought someone over the last one. Maybe.
Then we had the Thai basil stir fry with beef, and oh man. The beef was tender, the basil was fresh and aromatic, and the whole thing had this perfect balance of savory and spicy. It’s the kind of dish where you keep going back for “just one more bite” until suddenly the plate is empty.
And the panang curry with shrimp? Forget about it. Creamy, rich, slightly sweet, with these perfectly cooked shrimp. The sauce is so good you’ll want to drink it straight up (no judgment if you do).
Just when I thought I couldn’t eat another bite, we ordered the deep-fried banana dessert. Listen, this thing is absolutely decadent. The banana gets wrapped up and fried until it’s golden and crispy on the outside, warm and caramelized on the inside, then they drizzle chocolate all over the top. It’s crunchy, it’s gooey, it’s sweet, it’s everything. Save room for this or you’ll regret it.
But here’s the thing that really makes this place special—the staff. Everyone was so genuinely kind and helpful, giving us recommendations and checking in on us like we were old friends. You can tell they actually care about whether you’re enjoying yourself.
Good Thai Kitchen is one of those places that reminds you why food made with love just hits different. Go. Eat everything. Thank me later.
