I love supporting new and local businesses. I am also a food and beverage industry quality professional. I decided to purchase multiple items off the menu (roughly $60 bucks worth). The service was great, the environment was clean, but I did have a few issues with my order. The omelette was burned, the waffle was under cooked and very wet. On a positive note the breakfast quesadilla, and the bacon/egg/cheese biscuit was great. The cheese grits and biscuit and gravy were the star of the purchase. I will support this business again, but more time needs to be spent in the kitchen on preparing omelettes and waffles.

We visited on a Saturday for a late lunch. Everyone was super friendly. We love supporting a business like this that has a mission to help the community. We ordered the Berry chicken salad, Chicken Panini and Tenderloin sandwich. Salad was beautiful with giant blackberries, panini was delicious and the tenderloin was great. We will definitely be back to try other menu offerings.

The food was really good. We had a burger and a panini, both with fries. The reason for 4 stars for atmosphere is really just that it is still pretty much a blank slate, it used to be a library(?)so it has a feeling of too much space, not cozy, but that’s a personal preference not that there’s a problem with it. Great mission! Give them a try!

I have eaten here on multiple occasions and the food is always fantastic. I have tried their burger, B&G, cob salad, eggs, adult grilled cheese and their cinnamon rolls. Don’t forget to try the chocolate chip cookies too! YUM!!! The employees are so friendly and helpful. I look forward to eating there again. Definitely 5 stars!!

My husband had the biscuits & gravy & said it was excellent. I ordered the chicken Alfredo. It was truly awful. The small piece of chicken breast was fine & sliced neatly on top of the noodles. But the Alfredo was super thick & a darker brown color. It was thicker than gravy & basically uneatable. We loved the concept of this restaurant & can only say good things about the workers we encountered

My wife & I tried your establishment yesterday for a late lunch.

I initially wanted to order a Chef Salad but the lady said they were out of those. So, we both ordered the Grilled Meatloaf dinners. We told the lady at the front that we both wanted white cream gravy on our mashed potatoes. You have to serve yourself your own drinks, get your own eating utensils & napkins. Nobody waits on you in anyway.

When our food came out, we felt for the price there should be two pieces of meatloaf, they put brown gravy on our mashed potatoes when we asked for white cream gravy.

My wife said the green beans were bland with no seasoning whatsoever. The meatloaf was good. My side salad was good as well.

We will try other food next time we go in. Very good concept they have. Restaurant was clean.

Had breakfast, hash browns weren’t even cooked. Food was cold. No one tells you it’s self serve, no instructions for new people. I love the concept, I think it’s great to have new businesses in grain valley, but overall this was a terrible experience. I wish we had better options for grain valley, but this was an absolutely terrible experience from start to finish

Food was quite salty. Promotion for price Is spot on. A very unique approach to eating out in a good way. A few pointers, lemon on beverage bar, maybe a few pies or cinnamon rolls. A good assortment of hot sauce, but missing Louisiana style. Front order desk needs to be a little more presenting as to how the restaurant works. First timers have no idea what to do when they walk in. Customer service needs alittle tweaking. More smiles, more enthusiasm. The cafe is very clean including the bathroom. Love conpect of the cafe and teaching the young. Will come back again.
