Nice restaurant with cozy atmosphere. The fireplace was on and staff were super friendly and attentive! Ordered the frisée and it was a unique salad, loved it! Spicy pizza without meat tasted good when it was hot but was not at all spicy, it was bit sweet, the crust was good though! Alagash white went good with it. Overall good experience!

I ordered pizza through Grub-hub last night, when I got there they had not received the order, even though I got confirmation that the order went through. So I ordered another one & while I waited I had a glass of wine. They didn’t charge me for the pizza or the wine! This is a fun place to eat! I have been here before & will defianltly go back. The wait staff & bar tender are fun & helpful! I also paid for the couple sitting next to me without them knowing until I left! Enjoy! Sharon

Cool, unique atmosphere, service was okay, cocktails in the bar are definitely one of the highlights. It’s a very cool little spot hidden off Main St. Plenty of parking, and some outdoor seating.
Let’s talk about the pizza. After all, it’s a pizza place, right?
They do a nice job creating several unique styles. We had two round pies, one was vodka with sausage but didn’t taste much different from the plain red sauce, and a regular plain cheese pie. The square ple was my favorite simply because of the crust. The onion soup pie was interesting, pretty good!
But in the big picture, this pizza is not “great” – just unique. I attribute this primarily to the fact they’re cooking it in an electric pizza oven. Definitely not as good as a coal or wood-fired oven, and really no better than a traditional gas pizza oven.
That being said, it’s a nice place and worth the trip. Just don’t expect the superior Neapolitan coal-fired pie served up the road in New Haven…

We had always heard great things about Good Old Days and their French onion pizza specifically, but WOW. We were beyond impressed! I think it’s great that they have a more limited menu focused on the pizza so that they can master what they do well. Loved the vibe – it was cozy but eclectic. Staff was great! We warmed up here after a night at the igloos at the nearby winery, so it really hit the spot. We’ll be back because the French onion is in the top 5 best speciality pizzas I’ve had in CT!

This was a surprising gem I found by accident. I literally pulled in their parking lot just to make a U-turn and saw the inconspicuous entrance. As soon as I walked in, I felt the atmosphere of never wanting to leave. Very warm atmosphere with decorations of the 80s and 90s to bring me back to my late teens and hanging out with my friends parent’s basement.
Had the La La Land pizza, which was quite unique with the vodka sauce and fresh basil.
If I actually live in the area, this would be my weekend hangout!!

Not a very good pizza for the money!
Just dough and sauce. And the second pizza is very spicy, although the waiter said it was not spicy. And it also burned on top, which is visible in the photo. I don’t recommend pizza. Cocktail is too small for 15$. Draft beer is good.

Great little spot with amazing pizza and salads. Not to mention their homemade desserts! This little place has it all! We were not disappointed one bit! Don’t be afraid to try their “weird” sounding pies! That French Onion square pie was the hit from our group! My favorite was the Heat of the Moment. All was delicious! Get there early. They get pretty packed!

We got two pies. Top tier ingredients: homemade red sauce, perfectly charred pepperoni, tasty roasted garlic, and whipped ricotta.
Crust is what keeps this from being a 5. Crispy but closer to the taste of a pita cracker than pizza dough. No character or texture outside of a cracker crunch.
Stil, if I was local this would be my regular spot. The chocolate chip cookies the size of dinner plates are exceptional. Perfect with a stout.

Got the Bikini Bod. One of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. The combination of the ricotta and sesame seeds and honey almost give a bagel flavor and the crust is absolutely perfect, crispy and crunchy in all the right places.
