New place in Gothenburg, great concept, love the vintage photos of Gothenburg. Interesting menu, nice signature cocktails, also good desserts. I think they are still working out the kinks, seating was a bit awkward, bar service was backed up, and the service a bit slow, and some of the food items were a bit cold.
I’m sure this will smooth out with time. Be patient and you will be rewarded with a great meal. The giant pretzel charcuterie board is eye popping, the elderflower martini refreshing, and the salted caramel molten cake is to die for. Full dining room and bar seating available!

I had the gothenburger, the pretzel appetizer, and the crab Rangoon pizza- all more than exceeded expectations. I cannot recommend the pizza enough- a little bit of a kick spice wise, but if you can handle that it was phenomenal. The burger and appetizer were also delicious. If you’re traveling through I would definitely give this place a try.

I was so excited to eat here but my meal was absolutely horrible. I did complain but only got 25% off of my meal. The steak was very much undercooked, the brocolli was cold, and the baked potato was actually not edible. It was brown throughout. I’m thinking maybe it was cooked earlier and then recooked? Not sure but didn’t look safe to eat. Service was ok but based on the food i would not recommend. Picture below is my plate when I left. I ate what I could bc I was paying for it and it was so late nowhere else was even open.

First time (May 2025) we went there Saturday around 4pm. The ribeye steak (med rare) was juicy, well seasoned…excellent, service was good as well.
This Saturday, Sept (2025) same time give or take…the steak was cool to the touch, had no seasoning, was tough and dry…how the hell is a med rare ribeye dry?!?!?
Service was mediocre as well.
Sadly, I’ll be skipping Good Life for the next meal.

The quality of the food is amazing, and the atmosphere is very appealing. The staff makes you feel like your home, they all go out of their way to make sure your experience is an amazing one. I highly recommend stopping in and enjoying The Good Life, in Gothenburg Nebraska. And yes the price is right for the quality of food you receive.

This is right off the interstate, super convenient. Some interesting items but the giant pretzel charcuterie board is so fun. Good ranch, incredible pretzel. Only thing is the cocktails are more like cheap bar cocktails, not worth the price. But the food is good and service was FANTASTIC. Amy was great.

Got “jumbo fried shrimp” that ended up just being Japanese frozen shrimp tempura for 22$, also last time I got a pesto and it was definitely not pesto it was the tomato pasta and I called and they said that I was wrong and their pesto was red that night? But last I remember pesto only has basil oil and nuts. Idk was weird and didn’t like it. But my sides have been super yummy and the burgers are pretty good too, i recommend those if you’re hungry.

I absolutely loved the small town fine dining, Our server Karissa was so sweet and did an excellent job! So glad we passed through for dinner! Would definitely come again, everything was so fresh and had excellent taste!
